Hi PAUL (Sonic Robo Blast 2)

Paul, the mysterious entity from Summitsphere's Antonball Deluxe, has arrived to SRB2!

He's one odd fella. Seems to be stuck in the same pose everywhere he goes. He's also strangely agile.

Paul seems slower than Sonic and friends at first, but he has some tricks to get him back up to speed!

Abilities

Clutch
Hold any direction + Spin Button

Paul is able to damage enemies by clutching into them.
It also gives him a burst of speed which he maintains until he slows down.

The move is rather versatile, allowing him to thok the ground, walls and go under short obstacles.

Also, you can bonk into walls if you're moving fast enough!
Find all the uses for this move as you play!

Crouch
Don't hold any direction + Spin Button
OR
Custom 1 / Custom 2 (Recommended!)

You're able to crouch on the ground, which makes you harder to hit but unable to move.
However, the real benefit is having the ability to Hi-Jump when jumping while crouching.

Mix and match his moves to flow through the map!
You'll find out he can bounce around like the balls he kicks around in Antonball Deluxe....

P.S. The character has also has super form, but we'll leave it as a surprise!

This is our first SRB2 mod and it's dedicated to the Summitsphere crew, for being good friends!
Started as a joke character but he's surprisingly versatile, I think. I hope you guys enjoy playing as him too!

This is possibly the best addon I've ever played.
...But no, seriously, this little shitpost of a addon is really enjoyable, I got him via a server and I was simply stunned.

His moveset is competent, spritework's done well and the fact that there's a superform makes him valueable even more.

I've been meaning to leave a rating to this back in December, regardless, here it goes.

I think PAUL, for as stupidly simple he is, has serious potential to be one of my favourite characters to play in SRB2 with. Did a campaign run with the fella and I have increasingly noticed how PAUL struck a balance between Knux and Sonic, by offering serious good versatile movement, but only where the level geometry allows it as such and allows therefore for specialization that is, in my opinion, BETTER than the OG cast can offer!

His hi-jump is no doubt his most important tool. Combining this into a clutch felt very satisfying. In general, you allow his movement to be combo'd with everything else which makes this character so interesting and satisfying to play. PAUL is in the best sense perfectly balanced and I appreciate that he doesn't suffer from the problem where a character can skip half the parkour section with a silly double jump.

Serious shoutouts for the clever as heck wall jump. Seriously. That thing absolutely makes PAUL for me. Using the clutch to execute it instead of a dedicated option feels so much more natural.

PAUL is something I wish more characters have. His incredibly simple and balanced moveset with combo opportunities that keeps it on a reasonable level is something not everyone can achieve. Pat yourself on the back, this is one of my absolute favourite characters to play in SRB2!
