[Open Assets] Ova Sonic v2.1

The mods gameplay is unique and well designed, but the new 2.0 sprites are a downgrade to say the least.

This needs improvement, the sprites are worser now. The hand written thing was better because i had an ova vibe but man... the anathomy has gone worse. I'll just play with the 1.3 I guess

All you really had to do was fix the eye placement, but man these new sprites are great.
but the air ability still has that grating sound, and it kills any momentum when used.

tbh I prefer v1-v1.3 more than this, out of junio, hesse, and ova, ova looks the most cursed

This mod it's pretty fun to play with, but i have some problems.
1º- The sprites are fine but some of them are weird, like the idle sprite from the back, otherwise the falling sprite from the front it's pretty awesome.
2º- The peelout doesnt work properly.

So, I recommend this mod pretty much, specially for online, it's pretty fun!

Bro, this is literally the best Sonic i ever seen here, his abilities make him the best character for a speedrun or just go fast, this is peak srb2 modding in my opinion!
But i have a problem, wich isn't related to anything they said before (i don't have any problems with him, his sprites are fine and i can play without any issues on mobile).
I don't like how many people likes more a character or that has too many and overexploited abilities that literally can't go fast normally without using a sort of boost or lame ass dashmode (just like Modern Sonic and others) and ignores and calls bad a very good character with nice abilities, because they can't even play it right, and most of them sure are kids.
I hope this mod gets better everytime and get a lot of recognition.

Maybe make the run Sprite look like modern and dashmode the loop as he does that in the ova movie

This needs so much improvement, starting with things people have
already said, The sprites are ok, That spin sound is annoying, wallrun is Inconsistent, His air spin kills momentum, and again, That wallrun is very annoying to try and control. So, in hindsight- Needs better sprites (which it doesn't really matter that much but could do with it), Spin sound needs to be improved or removed, If the wall run can't work give him a wall jump, and this is a stretch and really could go without it, maybe a super form with super buffs? Also, his peelout (at least when I tried it) Barely works up to what it's supposed to do. I'd give it more stars if he worked a bit better.

The sprites are okay but the pixel art is more faithful to the original ova sonic imo
And the dashmode was gone so I added back in the sprites and dashmode
Could be better if u removed the noise of the super spin and the wall run being annoying to control

...why was dashmode removed?
it was the ONLY thing that made this sonic be fast.

A good sonic. but the super spin sound is far too grating.
Hopefully we can get an update that changes it.

Works absolutely perfectly with the Junio Sonic FZN models, and the spin jump is stupidly powerful!

This Mod Is Awsome

Such a simple moveset, yet so broken. Cuts most playthroughs in half if you learn how to control this speedy bunch of sprites, which is pretty simple. The only thing that needs work is the sprites, to be honest. But aside from that, my new favourite mod.

I think the moveset is fine but i think you should fix the sprites up or just make them pixel art because you seem to be super good at it.

OVA Sonic feels fun to play, the animations and abilities are just perfect
