Everyone's favorite N-Sane bandicoot has made his way into SRB2!
One day, Crash Bandicoot was relaxing on the beach doing what he does best, sleeping. But his nap would be short lived, upon Aku Aku abruptly waking him up sensing that something’s wrong. He was quickly proven to be correct, as Dr. Neo Cortex jumps out from the nearby jungle & points a ray gun at the two, monologging about his inevitable victory via vaporizing them.
He pulls the trigger, shooting a laser beam at Crash & Aku Aku, causing a giant blue implosion to happen. But little did Cortex know that he accidentally had his ray gun set on the wrong setting, sending the two to an different dimension instead of vaporizing them.
Crash Bandicoot wakes up from face down on the ground, looking around in confusion as to what happened. Aku Aku however can feel a strange energy looming around the dimension they’re currently in. He lectures Crash into discovering where the strange power source is coming from, hoping that it’ll be the key to finding their way back home.
And thus, another N.Sane adventure for the two begins…

Alright, strap in, because this banooca has a lot of tricks up his sleeve!
To start with, you have the basic yet ol' reliable double jump for some extra height and last minute saves.
Next up is the crawl and, more importantly, the slide! Press spin while moving to squeeze under gaps and gain some extra air time off the ledge. Jumping while in the sliding state makes you jump much higher than normal!
Pressing spin in the air will instead let you belly flop to the ground, great for breaking weak floors and crowd control!
Possibly his most important ability, pressing custom 1 will let you spin for a safe attack. Where it gets interesting is spamming it in the air lets you glide through the air! Hint: try spinning while sliding to see what happens...
Feeling like Crash is moving a bit too slow? Hold custom 2 to activate the Crash Dash and speed through the levels quicker!
You may have noticed that mask floating around Crash, or the fact that any shield you pick up goes away immediately and the mask makes a funny noise. Well, pay extra attention to it, because Aku Aku is your health indicator! Make sure you have him on at all times or not even rings will save you, and make sure you upgrade him when you can so that you can safely go on a rampage!

Yes, you saw that right. This isn't just a character mod, it also comes with a whole new way to experience SRB2 co-op. Introducing: Box Tally Mode!
Instead of searching for emerald tokens to collect the chaos emeralds, you instead have to break a lot of boxes! Break all of the boxes in a stage to earn a chaos emerald, or if you can't get them all, break at least half of the total amount to earn an emerald token! Breaking the glowing box at the end of the stage will reveal your reward based on your box tally.
Speaking of boxes, let's talk about them real quick.
First off is your basic box. These don't do anything other than add to the tally. Yeah...
Ring boxes are crates stuffed to the brim with rings, but you may notice just breaking them normally doesn't give anything. Well, you don't wanna break them, that'll wreck the goodies inside! Instead, try bouncing on them to collect the loot bit by bit until it's empty.
Aku Aku boxes are pretty self-explanatory. Breaking one of these gives you an Aku Aku or upgrades him if you already have him.
Ooh, now we get to the fun stuff! This here is a TNT box, and if you've watched enough cartoons, you know what happens if you try to break it. But fear not! There is a way to safely detonate it by bouncing on it to activate its timer. Just be sure to be at a safe enough distance while the clock is ticking down...
And last but not least, the Nitro box! These ones you do NOT want to touch under any circumstances, as even just walking up to it will cause it to explode immediately.
So how are you meant to break them without getting hurt? Well, if you reach the end of the stage, you'll see a green switch. Flipping it will detonate all of the nitro boxes in the entire level!
Now these next 2 boxes aren't used in the vanilla levels, but be on the look out for maps that might utilize them!
Bounce boxes are what they say on the tin: they're boxes that make you bounce! But be careful around the wooden ones, as they are just as breakable as any regular box. The height you get is not quite as high as a yellow spring, but it's nothing to sneeze at.

- crash_consolemode: Swaps the abilities of the spin and custom 1 buttons. Useful for players that play with a controller and want familiar button layout of the original games.
- crash_boxtallymode: Toggles "Box Tally Mode", where monitors get replaced with boxes and emerald tokens are despawned, and the only way to collect chaos emeralds is through breaking all the boxes (or half of the total for an emerald token). ADMIN ONLY
- crash_boxpointer: Spawns in a radar that points towards the closest box, makes it easier to find the last handful of boxes in a large level.
- crash_globalpointer: Toggles the players' ability to use the box pointer/radar, for whether you want players to have that extra challenge. ADMIN ONLY
- crash_easymultiplayer: When toggled, it applies the singleplayer box total to multiplayer. For smaller lobbies or servers that don't want to dedicate a lot of time on some levels searching for boxes. ADMIN ONLY
