DeltaChars v1.1

I used DeltaChars for a bit now, and I literally made an account just to review it because of how spectacular it is. Every piece of action in the single player campaign is outstanding, and everyone in the dialogue is written so in-character, I'm almost convinced you got Toby himself to come down and write it.

Without spoiling the experience, the new content gave me an excuse to play through the entire campaign again, and I loved the additional story added on to the game through it, along with the few little Easter Eggs I've also been able to see.


This character pack actually feels like it's a proper trio like the Fun Gang/$?$? Squad/Lancer Fan Club SHOULD be. No one character feels more powerful than the other, and using them in conjunction yields great results with the seamless on-the-fly switching mechanic. My favorite abilities of the trio have to go to Ralsei, who's great for dealing with the more annoying enemies in the game with his Pacify ability, plus his Scarf Swipe and Ember Twirl make platforming a breeze.

All in all, this is a perfect mod. It's a fun experience all the way through, and easily one of the top mods of the year in my opinion.

I have no words, this is absurdly impressive, Steph's mods always hit hard.

this addons great, ive typed this 3 times now because my browser crashes when i rightclick so im not going to do that now, here are things that i think would be awesome if they were added.
-a TP bar similar to modern sonics boost, but each character could have a special move to go with it.
-a gameover screen complete with kris's sound shattering.
-all starposts replaced with save stars.
-a run button, like deltarune, could be toggled, off by default.
-more dialogue for status effects and random things, it would be nice because you would get more dialogue when playing custom levels.

this addon is amazing and I really hope you see this and consider adding some of these, no matter how long it takes. stay determined!

Absolutely a fun mod. Played through the entire single player campaign in one session with this and might do it again!

If I could, I would give this six stars. Just really amazing and made with so much love and attention to detail. Each character compliments each other so well in their abilities. It's truly one of the only "team" packs that feels like a real team where each character is necessary. Admittedly, I don't use Frisk often, but even so, they are still useful in a lot of scenarios, especially in water or low gravity conditions when you just need a moderate jump and a way to accelerate quickly. Otherwise, really amazing. Already love most of the character mods by this creator and this is easily their best yet

Absolutely wonderful mod. I love playing as Ralsei the most.
Speaking of, I found out that if you press jump+spin at the exact same time as Ralsei, you end up doing a grounded spin. I doubt it's intentional, but I imagine it can be converted into a useful attack of sorts?

Absolutely love the secrets btw.

This is a insanely good mod, bringing my favorite characters to another great game is wonderful, and the way they all function together is as smooth as butter.

The trio seriously reminds me something out of Sonic Heroes! Especially since they could definitely be seen as the three types. Kris, Speed. Susie, Power. Ralsei, Flight

POSITIVE
+ Your sense of humor is definitely an upside here as all the trio all seem in character.
+ All characters are fluid to control, feels natural.
+ The dialogue never gets in the way. Dying or exiting to the menu to retry a stage won't prompt the dialogue to return.
+ All the easter eggs got a good chuckle out of me.

NOTICES
/ They each take up three separate character slots, probably due to technical limitations.
/ I felt little reason to play as Kris. Ralsei can easily get through levels and Susie destroys boss fights.
/ You take control of Lancer during special stages, who DOES have gameplay differences. This usually isn't the case with other characters, so it might take some time to get used too.

NEGATIVES
- Where Noelle... I need to make her stronger (Joke)

As much as I do like these characters, I really feel like you would already have to know much about Deltarune to know who these characters are, their relationship and their motives, which is to be expected a simple character mod. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who hasn't played Deltarune, but if someone had or is at least familiar with it, I think it would be a good character mod to check out.

This add-on is legitimately the most fun I have ever had playing Sonic Roboblast 2. Each individual characters have great movesets and the shared input of switching between the three characters is very responsive and fluid! The three all feel in-character and the added dialogues are amazing! The Deltarune references aren't intrusive and fit in amazingly, especially the boss fight for the third zone in the game. (Won't spoil it in case whoever reading this hasn't seen it yet, but trust me, it's great.) Overall, I'd heavily recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. This is a high quality add-on with what feels like a lot of effort put into it.

The best representation of the Fun Gang in Sonic Robo Blast 2 I've ever played myself! Even the dialogue got to me plenty of times during the main adventure.

Singleplayer exclusives, amazing abilities. Good text system.

It's not just the features and abilities that are amazing.

It's the fucking compatibility. These people went out of their way to make everything on the mod editable without editing the mod itself. Everything is fucking global.

Please future modders, if you're gonna leave your character unreusable, allow modders to edit everything without touching the mod at all.
If you don't do what deltachars did, your mod will be so fucking boring because nobody just wants to play coop.

BY JOVE!!! Dr. Stephen, you've outdone yourself again, and impressed me with such outstanding characters; this is the entire epitome on how a custom 3rd party franchise character is done (no shade on characters like Dirk the Husky's Mario or your Kiryu Kazuma though lol, they're both pretty awesome characters as I've had fun playing with those characters), and the moveset is astounding as ever; thank you for giving us this, and I didn't even expect this one coming. (as I'd say, there was an unexpectancy lol)
