honestly i'm straight down the middle with this one. on one hand, i did really enjoy it, it's structurally and fundamentally a great boost mod, it's surprisingly a lot of fun to mess around with, and visually it has a lot of flair. however, i feel like a lot of the polish put into this mod was purely the visual design. the boost does not react well to springs at all, oftentimes leading to me missing a platform because the boost didn't stop on a diagonal spring, as well as it oddly being able to be spammed in mid-air. that, and while the boost trail looks great, it's really the only distinct visual aspect about it, compared to games like sonic generations where there are a lot of visually and audibly striking elements to starting off and preserving a boost.
overall, fundamentally great, just a few minor aspects that really bring it down. love the keybinding options though.
(side note, was it really necessary to disable crossmomentum's physics alterations while this mod is active? i feel like that's a big misstep, i would've personally loved to be able to achieve some bullshit high speeds with these mods working in tandem.)
glad you like the mod! it was my first mod. its intent was to provide a resource with which people could put their own boosts in their mods, and while i think i could've done it way better because the code is a mess, it still got used in a bunch of mods.
there is a big 2.0 revamp planned, but who knows when i'll get working on that, haha.
