Don't feel like reviewing them all, so I'll just give Genesis a fair trial.

Plaintiff: Sonic the Hedgehog 1 Original version. Attorney: Phoenix Wright
Defendant: Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis for GBA. Attorney: The guy Wright always beats.
Plaintiff's Witness: Star Light Zone platform edges.

Phoenix Wright:So, tell me about your more... recent behavior, Mr... Edges is it?

SLZpe: Yeah I act as a death pit when you touch my edge as I finish moving in Genesis, what of it?

PW: No further questions Your Honor.

Defense Attorney: I'd like to cross examine the witness.

Judge: Granted, proceed.

DA: Is it True that you did the same thing in the original version of SLZ?

SLZpe: No.

Judge: New witness!

The defense calls BOTH Musical Scores to the bench.

Mr. Genesis, are you pleasant to hear? Is your bench mate there any better than you?

GBAScore: No he isn't. We are absolutely equivalent in quality.

Phoenix:

THIS MAN IS LYING TO THE COURT! Your Honor, please hear this... *pulls out boombox*

Judge: A musical device?
*plays Green Hill Original on boombox.*

Pheonix: That was the original score version of Green Hill Zone's BGM. Now listen to Audio Exhibit B: Green Hill GBA. *plays*

Judge: OW! My ears, they BLEED! I find in favor of the plaintiff. Court adjorned. Someone get me to the hospital...

Sonic 1 Genesis: [4/10]

I played Sadv 1-3, Sonic Battle, and Sonic Genesis.

SAdv1- Close enough to the original, but the levels are annoying.
SAdv2- No.
SAdv3- No-er.
Sonic Battle- Yes, they finally made the best Sonic handheld game ever and even in put in enough customization to make it totally awesome.
Sonic Genesis- No-est. Thank you.

It's the original Sonic 1 ported to the GBA. It was ported badly, so it was frowned upon.

How many times do I have to say this...

ITS NOT a port.

Apparently the story was the "lost' the stuff for the genesis build so they had to re do everything.
There was more of this "story" on youtube.

God forbid, if they couldn't redo a game fit for a system released a decade before, they should of stopped making games in the mid-nineties.

LoganA posted that link before, on a similar topic. It's still good to let people know what SEGA could of done, but were too lazy to even care.

(stupid skit)
Please. Never do that again. Ever.

Sonic Advance 2 8/10
Breaking the sound barrier and having a stage like crazy gadget. nuff said

Sonic Advance 3 9/10 very good. I cant complain on the AI as it has saved me many times.
It also gets one extra point for doing what sonic 1 gba and sonic advance didn't do. LINK

Sonic Pinball Party 7/10
okay, but I'd rather play sonic spinball for the genesis

Sonic Battle 8/10 Brawl on the go.

Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis 2/10
good lord this game was fail. the only thing good was that it had the spindash and the saving. luckily, this is why I have sonic mega collection plus.

You also have to take notice Dimps made the GBA version.
Meaning there not the same teams, its harder to make a GBA version.

My opinion would be was make Sonic team(Wait no..most of Sonic team left!) To scrap the whole idea and make a SA4.

SA1: 6/10 (Graphics weren't great.)
SA2: 4/10 (Do I HAVE to tell you?)
SA3: 8/10 (Special stages sort of sucked)
Battle: 9.5/10 (LOVED to customize Emerl.)
Pinball: n/a.
Genesis: 0.5/10 (KILL IT WITH FIRE)

Er, what? SA1 was actually prettier and more detailed than SA3, especially the background scenery.

Jeez, Sonic Genesis isn't as horrible as everyone says it is. Yeah, it's significantly less enjoyable than the original Genesis game, but it's still playable, guys.
Yeah, but that still doesn't give me a logical excuse to waste twenty dollars on a port that's even worse than the original game. Regardless of whether Sonic 1 is enjoyable or not, it's still laughably incomparable to later Genesis/MegaCD titles. I thought it was rather stupid that they didn't decide to port Sonic 2 instead, that would have generated a lot more sales...even if it was a mangled mess as well.

Sonic Advance: 8/10
Gameplay was alright, its like the 2D ones and all, nothing else needs to be said, kinda.

Sonic Advance 2: 5/10
Was my first Sonic GBA game, and.... my god... the Special Stages... ARGH!!!!!!!!!!! HOW I HATED THIS, collect 7 Special Rings to enter the Special Stage, after a long time with this one, I finally got 100% on this.

I hate to say this, but Cream in this game is overpowered, don't believe me? Play the boss stages with her and press the B button while near Eggman.

Sonic Advance 3: 7/10
Partners did help out here, but I hated how I just leave them behind after speeding off, and they can't even find me.

The Chao for getting the Special Key, well... best combo I used was Cream & Knuckles, but it could of been better if it was just the Key...

Sonic Battle: N/A
Haven't played it, so no review.

Sonic Pinball Party:N/A
Haven't played this, so no review.

Sonic Genesis: 0/10
Now this... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!??! (Quote from the AVGN.)

She's an insta-kill on boss stages. Alternate hitting B with jumping into him.

First of all, I meant the pixel art looked slightly goofy, like it was on the Snes rather than the Gba. I should of given it a 7/10. :/

Funny, I thought I made a topic like this...oh right...I think it was in HDIJ.

Anyway, Tengu shall give his thoughts:

  • *SA: One of my personal favorites since playing Sonic & knuckles on my genesis. Four original characters, traditional stages, good platforming, simple speed, and decent bosses (remember the final stage that brought back the old sonic bosses from the first game? That was pure win.)

What more can I say? 9/10

*SA2: I had spent a decent amount of hours on this one, but it wasn't like are beloved sonic advance. Platforming was limited, and the speed (although exhilarating at points) just didn't feel necessary in this. It's like playing Sonic adventure sonic stages on a hand held, but with poor graphics. Also, the requirement to get Amy....wasn't needed period, same goes with the garden. And I think we're aware of how we must collect special rings to go to the special stage. Is the word "fail" worthy of this game? Thats your choice. 5.2/10

*SA3: What could be a little more worst than Sonic Heros? Sonic Advance 3. Let me just say that the only main part of the entire game that I personaly enjoyed about it, was the stage designs and the mini games. Why not the new system of gameplay? Obvious...it wasn't needed period. First off, having another character with you didn't help much with the progression of stages. Entering new areas with a certain character on the other hand did. Also, your "Trusted" partner serves no purpose to really help you, besides altering the abilities of the leading character (which served no improvement to the gameplay either.) Sure, excuses like "having tails follow you around is like a blast from the past!!" may have some others play it longer...but really.., just pop in the cheat in Sonic advance 1 and boom! You have tails with you. End...3/10

*Sonic Pinball party: Didn't have any problems considering it's a pinball game. It was a decent piece of work from sega. 6.5/10

*Sonic Battle:A basic fighting game that gives you a very underpowered character to progress with in the story and a dull plot to go with. If they made emerl a little less underpowered and cut the repetitive, battles, it would been a little more enjoyable. At least Multiplayer is fun right?......uh right???? 5/10

*Sonic Genesis(GBA): Worst port ever. I could just play it on my Sonic Mega collection 0/10

This is GBA. Graphics aren't what you're supposed to be looking for. >.>

I got Sonic Advance and Pinball Party in a double-pack, so I'm not complaining. The nature of Pinball Party was to be a nice change of pace. Granted, I only use the NiGHTS table, so...

Sonic Advance : N/A Never Played
Sonic Advance 2 : 8/10
Sonic Advance 3 : 7/10
Sonic Battle : 9/10
Sonic Pinball : N/A
