The Thwick (from SRB1!)

~ The Thwick is a character ability for Sonic that could be simply explained
as a heavily momentum based Thok. Simply doubling your current
momentum while double jumping in the air.

However, there are a few standout features that differ from a
momentum Thok that the Thwick has that I would like to point out below.

~ Vertical Momentum: Yes! The Thwick does indeed multiply your
vertical moment depending on how fast you are going up or down.

~ Badnik Restore: Also something fun to mess around with is the
fact that bouncing on a badnik (or monitor) will restore your ability to Thwick.

Changelog:
V1: Initial release
V2: - Reduced the upward vertical gain significantly and edited vertical caps
- Horizontal speed now is camera angle based

(also yea technically this is my second LUA so that cool I guess)
(i'm also one of the devs for srb1 so haha lol get beat)

I know its been an hour sense the first release but this is pretty important.

V2 Change Log:
- Reduced the upward vertical gain significantly and edited vertical caps
- Horizontal speed now is camera angle based
 
There's an issue that makes it inaccurate to the SRB1 remake.
You would uncurl while thwicking.
In this mod, you don't.
Also you could recurl too.
 
I am only saying but.. I would like to see the falling animation after using the Thwick, to make it look more like the one of SRB1

I actually inquired into why the Thwick here keeps you in a ball recently, and the reason is that SRB2 doesn't have Recurl like SRB1 does, and Earless Team/Chops didn't want to add Recurl to this mod, so here we are.
From what I know, it's known it's not quite accurate but that's on purpose.

I love this mod! I played the hell out of the SRB1 remake since it came out a couple days ago, and I simply couldn't get over the thok of it being in SRB2! Although, the thwick would benefit from its own sprite as it uncurls then recurls back. And it doesn't make the *correct sound while thwicking (*use sound DSS3KA6 instead), though that's just me being picky.

Excellent job!

Oh, and here's a sneak peek of a mod I might make next...

Great. We've started a whole chain of events. I've already made the 3D Blast Title Card mod. Now all we need is someone to use the sprites to make to exact title card,. And then, the next thing you know, someone will have already ported the music, then another who made a 3D version of Knothole Coast Zone, and then...

...You know what? Let it happen.

Come on, guys! Let's all work together and make SRB1 in SRB2 happen!
 
Damn, I was just finishing my own Thwick mod... Well whatever, this is pretty nice, even if it's not fully accurate to the original unlike mine

EDIT: I totally read this wrong, it's they didn't want to do it srry lol
