The Story of Uncapped Revengence Discord the 3rd v4.1.0

Well I would say that you should make sure that you chose a public room when hosting, but if the listing appears for you and everyone else in-game, then I'd say that maybe it's just an issue with the Master Server Browser on this message board.

Alternatively, maybe try the port checking website listed on the online master server browser, just to be sure that the ports can, and are, being reached too.
Just to note, I have not port-forwarded at all. I just started hosting and advertising it and it worked (sorta). I had some people help me out and they couldn't find it at all on the in-game server list. I'm guessing it's because I'm hosting on this build, meaning that other's can't see it? I opened another instance and I could see it advertised, so I'm guessing that you need the build to join. More help is appreciated.

How do i turn hyper (without god mode)
You download mods.

Oh ok, I think I may understand now. Well it's not build specific, so it shouldn't restrict anyone from letting others who aren't using the build join you. Also, the build has holepunching too, so maybe the holepunching methods may be affected UPnP hosting too, but l don't really think they are.

Have you tried checking The Message Board's Online Server Browser, while hosting the server? Even if UPnP is used, it should still show the server on there, regardless of if it's reachable or not.

Additionally, you could try hosting a server with the build, and then using a vanilla client to see if it can be found there. If it can be, and others still can't see it, then most likely it's just an issue with UPnP, and I don't think there's anything to do about that.

However, there's also a java program called portmapper that you could use to more seamlessly host a server too, that doesn't require logging into your router or anything, so if UPnP still doesn't end up working, maybe try giving that tool a look.

Regardless, I hope you're able to fix this issue with hosting, and I hope anything I said here helps.

I have but as far as I can tell, it's not properly named, nor can I find my IPv4 or v6 within the unreacheables. I wondered if it was my master server, but then I saw that it WAS correct, and funnily enough, now I can join servers on mobile now lol. I used my phone to search with a vanilla instance (since I can't run srb2.win anymore with this build now) and I couldn't find it.

I haven't touched the holepunching, mainly because last time I tried with Kart, it didn't really work. Any tutorial or guide for it would be nice, but I'm not too sure. I hope if it's just uPnP acting up, that it might be fixed or patched. But I understand you're a busy guy so that's something that'll have to wait.

I know video games and sometimes how to learn to add mods to them.
I don't know computers.
Meaning I spent like 15-20 minutes trying to install a Java version and cmd saying "well ackually its not there stoobid" and just being an actual idiot doesn't help either. So that method failed.

Thanks, but I'll be fine if I can't host. I've been trying to host so I can play with my bro but I swear every time I try or find a different method, it stops me :devastation:
Hope you have a good one.

Found an issue where most of the OpenGL settings are not applying when changing them and reset to the default when launching the game after changing the settings

Probably related to how the build crashes when using the menu to close the game. Thankfully, I've gone ahead and fixed that, so it should work perfectly for you when the next version of the build comes out. Thanks for letting me know about this though.

So, when is the build gonna be available?

Honestly, it should be out anytime soon. I keep stumbling into bugs, and part of me just wants to release another beta so you guys have something to enjoy, but seeing as how 2.2.14 may be out within the next month or two, I've kinda mentally decided to just keep pushing through until all of them are resolved, since I want you all to have the best experience.

So, with everything being said, I'm aiming for before 2.2.14, but if it's not done by that time, then it'll probably be out like a few weeks after 2.2.14.

But, if you do want to see the progress on the next version, the source code for it, just like previous versions, is always available on the Github and Gitlab. Plus, if you know how to compile it, or even just use tools like srb2bld, you get access to cool stuff like this:

Even with that fix the OpenGL setting for Anisotropic rests when closing the game and does not apply properly when changed. Only setting from my testing that does this

Have you tried setting it directly from the config file instead? That most likely would do the trick.

Hey back here with an update: hosting with uPnP worked! ...sorta....
Basically, when advertising the server and pure vanilla, people can find and join my game. The issue arises when I try adding addons. Whoever tries to join get the, "Can't download addon" error message. The one that says that it's the MS' fault, not you, the joinee. It's nice that it works yet it sucks since mods can't be added. Do you have any answers?

What is it called in that file? I can't seem to find it
Most OpenGL commands start with 'GR_' or 'GL_', so if I had to guess, it's either 'gr_anisotropic' or 'gl_anisotropic'.

Well, asides from maybe posting the mods for others to download in a server, or maybe setting 'maxsend' and 'downloadspeed' to max, I don't have too many other ideas, sorry.

I know what the issue is here. Thanks for letting me know about this, I'll push out a new commit that fixes this as soon as I can.

So is there a way to disable the April fools text for settings? I mean its funny as hell but sometimes I just want it disabled. Also is there any plans for a new update. At all?
