As someone who grew up playing the original games on the Sega Genesis it helps to note just how Sonic levels were originally designed. Slope-heavy geometry was already a common occurrence in Sonic 1 and the so-called automatic sections with bumpers and springs were introduced in Sonic 2. In fact, it was among the things marketed by Sega back in the day as an argument to pull players away from Mario and the SNES.I like “haha funny pinball physics go brrr” as much as the next guy but you can’t just spam slopes everywhere.
this is mostly an issue with addon overload and happens when too many things are added. I's mostly been fixed in v2.2.14 however
