the mods main goal is to make it so the vannilia cast can keep up with modded characters not to improve abilities entirely

The Popgun is actually really useful in my opinion, for a character who doesn't have the ability to curl into a ball. Is clearly normal to me, because that's apart of what Fang is meant to be.

The Popgun might be a bit easier, and can kill bosses faster. But it's not that Overpowered in my opinion, clearly it's also meant to be a part of Fang's character development. And should be noted that at the end of the day, you should've just keep both the popgun and spindash as well. But you could use this mod that allows you to a aerial popgun.
