Do not use Works in Progress as a way of avoiding the releases system! Works in Progress can be used for sharing early betas and for getting suggestions for improvement. Someone didn't read the ruuu~uuules! 
Cheekiness aside, one of the rules here is that you can't post a thread in the Work in Progress section without having proof that you started on the project.
Also, some Friendly advice: The better your proof, the better you make your project and yourself look. So, for example, posting a screenshot of the game with nothing changed, be it the sprites or the level, won't really get people interested.
If you had nothing to show yet... It's better to hold off until you do. Otherwise other people will come and call you out for having nothing to show.
