I can't help but wonder if DragonXVI/RedXVI is actually aware of his role in this game.

It's definately suspicious of him to pop up in so many places throughout the game. But at the same time I can't help but attribute him to just owning a house in the middle of nowhere, wasn't the RVZ easter egg originally called "Old man RedXVI"?
