They feature full 8-directional turn frames, comes in a nice and small pk3 file, and are record attack compatible.

Worth it. I only regret that the animation options in kart weren't flexible enough without lua to make the cloak billow properly.

Being able to play in time attack was more important. But maybe in R2...
