Thing that could imply many things
 
Guess I'm gonna be the nerd again. This pose in Sonic Battle was used when you attacked someone who was either guarding or immune to your attack - you got stunned briefly in this pose for trying. With this in mind I'm gonna assume this pose is going to be used for the same purpose when Emerl attacks Egg Guards' shields or Sea Egg's decoys.
