so, jugding by the video, you can have three abilities at once. I'm guessing there'd be a spin ability and a jump ability, so what would the other be?

The three abilities as seen on the gifs are Jump Action, Air Action and Ground Action. It would be logical to assume that Jump Action is a jump ability, Ground Action is a spin ability and Air Action is a mid-air spin ability.

Considering Emerl can create various weapons out of essentially thin air, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine they could change the make-up of their body at the molecular level in order to accurately mimic Chaos.

Yeah. I'd say maybe they were trying to keep it visually clear that the player was Emerl and not Chaos at a glance- one would think their different colors would be enough, but I get the feeling the Chaos palette complicated that.
