Updates:
V1: initial release
V2: A complete sprite overhaul along with sound effects from Kirby Super Star and Earthbound (V1 will be included in the zip file)
V3: Another sprite overhaul (V1 and V2 included in the zip file)

Welcome to releases! But, copypasting what I said before, I strongly advise at least having some sort of sound effect for using a powerful item (invincibility, grow), as it is vital for warning surrounding players of a dangerous opponent.
 
Bowie has been updated with completely new sprites and actual sound effects! The old version is still in the zip file though if you wanted to use the old version for some reason.
