Although SF_HIRES and highresscale exist. Which can fit his sprites size easily. Without the need to make the same size as Sonic for example. Which is the default size for characters that DON'T use SF_HIRES and highresscale at all.

highresscale and SF_HIRES only increase or decrease the size of the sprites, what you're actually looking for is height and/or radius, which do modify the character's hitbox.

As for Kou, there's a small issue with hitboxes which is that the levels themselves -and plenty of custom levels- do not account for characters his size, as he is notably larger than the rest of the cast by a wide margin. Certain levels he'd have to awkwardly figure out a way to squeeze through if I made his hitbox any bigger, its a good thing ERZ got updated otherwise he'd be softlocked in vanilla of all things.
TL;DR it's less about sprite size accuracy, and moreso player convenience.

Lastly, I didn't shrink him down with hires because that's goes completely against what I intended him to be like. If I wanted to make a smaller character I would have, lmao

:dramahog: I was so wrong on that... I forgot height and radius were used to modify a character's hitbox. What was I thinking all along... I should've looked over the SRB2 Wiki at first.

Still, I didn't know what radius and height did (even though I do now). I know that most tall characters can't fit in levels with some character's heights going through tunnels, pipes, and other things.

Although I didn't want you to change Kou's size to be smaller (considering he's a tall and big character), but it's a good thing you didn't. Still, I think I learn my lesson. Never try to answer something that a person knows of.

I'm not sure if this is intended, but Kou's parry seems useless on some obstacles? Like the lava falls and Metal Sonic's charge attack. You can parry these, but you will take damage anyway.
There are also some walls in the game Kou can't climb, and I'm also not sure if that is intended, or not. I don't play Knuckles much, so I'm not sure if it is the same deal for him, but, either way, it is not really clear what walls are and aren't clingable.

Certain characters cannot cling to walls as they are marked unclingable, A check for anyone with Glide and Climb, But some custom moves, Like walljumps and actual climbs or clings are forced to read this value, But the parry-but-damage might be a bug. The unclimbable thing isn't a bug though.

Kou taunt stuff: I absolutely love the various poses that seem to be inspired by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Joseph and Caeser's poses from Chapter 66 were always really cool to catch. Also, the Garry's Mod pose is wonderful. So much of this has genuinely made me feel really happy. Thank you.
I really adore Kou.

ok I noticed something

I was fucking around, looking into the history tab, and in the April Fools update's changelog (4.1), it's noted that Jana crashes the game by just saying that she likes women.

does she actually like women or is it just a countermeasure to decrease skip x Jana ships down to 3.14% I'm curious

She was confirmed to be a lesbian. In fact, this has been questioned quite a few times already.
