Personally, my idea to separate him would be to give him properties that are... specially janky to match the old era. One thing you could do is make his roll decelerate faster perhaps, based on how in the standalone version of Sonic 3, his roll attack slowed down extra fast due to a bug in the code.

This look good but there one it is a HD mod and is ssn sprite from 20-2.1 I think but this will be good too

cuz this is the first time i’ve clicked on this thread, if you’re not happy that no one said this earlier why didn’t you do it yourself 💀
