Uhhh *insert bug here*

Idk if I'm a goofball to think that these are major bug's but I just randomly found them when I was just playing the game
The first one's no bug, it just means "flash effects" are turned off, so the bar turns green instead of rapidly flashing. The second's just an SRB2 rendering issue, not much can be done.

so I was playing kirby's dreamland with this character and in the ending animation when sonic swiped his hand at the badnik it played the badnik hit with super sonic sfx and the badnik got destroyed. I genuinely want to know if this was an intended little feature where sonic can slap the badnik or if it was just some coincidence (I was normal sonic not super btw).
The default taunt has 1 funny chop-of-doom frame.

Just found out that just mashing the spindash button in sa1 isn’t optimal.
Is this the case with SA-Sonic as well? I’m aware that rolling down hill is faster than spaming down hill but this is a different thing
Here’s a the video I found so you can get a better idea of what I mean
It works similarly with SA-Sonic, except with the SPIN button buffering into itself! That was an accidental bug on my end, but I left it in to make TAS speedruns more entertaining. The SRB2 version requires frame-perfect inputs near-impossible for humans anyway, and it's completely impossible in netgames.

My only regret with keeping it in is that the TAS'es further contribute to the "mashing SPIN is how to optimally play SA-Sonic" idea. Spamdashing is an inferior method for initial acceleration, and actively diminishes maxspeed on sloped surfaces. Outside of TAS, it's only best for retaining maxed-speed on straight surfaces.

TBF, optimal charge-spindashes require a frame-perfect release, so it's not like non-mashers get a freebie. To me, it's more important anyone can play SA-Sonic satisfyingly regardless of their preferred approach, so the difference isn't that big for an average player.

I don’t really understand the spin buffering thing you’re mentioning. Hell the only thing I know about the tas spindash in sa1 is that you mash with more than one button

Are these for Adventure or Modern Sonic V6?

BlueBlur said these were for Modern Sonic V6, but on one of Mat's speedruns, when Adventure speaks, these icons appear.

i think you should ask that under the Silverhorn thread but i think the reason they are used for SA Sonic as well is because they look similar and they probably didnt feel like drawing a new set of portraits for a slightly different Sonic which is understandable. i think they look good for both hedgehogs at least thats my take anyway

In my opinion, using it for SA-Sonic doesn't make much sense due to Modern Sonic V6's art style being based off of post-2004/2004 Yuji Uekawa art, while SA-Sonic's art style is based of Sonic Adventure 1/2 artwork and Advance sprites. The only exception is the EDGE sprites for Modern Sonic V6 being based off of Advance sprites exactly like SA-SONIC.

Yeah I agree with you on this one honestly. The portraits look nice but are definitely lacking sa-sonic’s exaggerated late 90s swagger. I think he still warrants his own unique portraits but it’s no big deal

Maybe, though I am not going to do it. Only support I cared for was Shine making SA Sonic able to beat it at all. Making tons of "support" for other characters, but none being able to beat it is ridiculous. With SA Sonic we made tons of support to enrich the experience with other characters with the support moves and item gifting.

Only thing REALLY making these off for SA Sonic is the blue eyelids, which is a Heroes, X and Modern thing (and Advance 3 but oh well), but I have too many important things in life to worry about right now to make any other portraits for SA Sonic, let alone for one that didn't want to support him.

It's okay dude, you don't need to.

Actually he is right i do that sometimes because it looks cool but the command is you hold c3 and then do an bounce and sonic will have the animation of the humming top but not do an actual humming top also is chainable soo you can do that lots of times but you have to release c3 to refresh the animation or else if you keep holding c3 after doing the bounce top it will be just an normal bounce with the normal animation
