Cool boss! I think trying to hand-draw that boss might be a bit of a lost cause due to its size, I can tell you're opting for very simple shapes and shading, I think it may be better to pre-render a 3D model to make it look at SRB2 accurate as possible instead. Still very impressive if that's your first attempt at spriting in SRB2!

Those HUD numbers are very hard to read, you should leave them as SRB2's default font like you had before. No harm in vanilla assets, and they don't clash at all with the HUD anyways.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing with the HUD numbers, I was trying to go for a LCD sort of look to them, and they were originally going to be red, but I changed them to white.

Yea I know what you're going for... it's just really cluttered and hard to read especially when you're forced to make HUD elements so low res.

I was actually gonna consider that, but I couldn't figure out how I was gonna code it in, so I scrapped it.

Also I'm happy to announce that the JAMMA City is finished! It sure did take a while, but I pulled it off!

I'm gonna take a couple days off from SRB2 in general just to regroup and rest. Don't worry, Arcade Levels isn't going on hiatus or anything, I'll be back in like 2-3 days.

In the meantime, I said that I was going to reveal the name for stage 2 once the JCZ boss was finished. Soooo....

Watch out for Stage 2: Neo Clock Tower!

Eh, I don't think Tails is good 100% material anyway so I don't really mind him being scrapped

Oh boy I bet It'll be just as painful as the usual CV Clock Tower level

You could try the code from the SA1 hud by TehRealSalt, or the code from Sebo2205's custom hud. There is also a hud called the Simpler Hud by SteelT which has bossbar that really isn't a bar, and instead takes the life icon approach.
Also, small request, but could you possible make one of the levels SpongeBob themed? I would really like it. I'm just asking this because I heard from user @Deadskythebruhgirl that user @Crystalinegazer was making a SpongeBob mod.

Maybe I'll throw in an underwater stage, definitely not Spongebob themed, but I'll see what I can do.

So basically, Neo Clock Tower is going to be a homage to the clock tower stage from Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. I'm tryin' to go for like a clock tower/church sort of feel to it.

It's gonna be big with multiple pathways, and I'm thinking that the enemies could be like robots that mimic various characters from MVC2. Like maybe a robot firing a Hadouken or somethin.
 
Looks great. i like the fact that each stage seems to have a unique feeling/gimmick to it to keep things fresh. kinda reminds me of spider-man 2000.

This is noice. Maybe make the boss a robotic version of one of the fighters from MVC2?
