Introduction​

"¡Bienvenidos, ustedes! That's Spanish for: 'Welcome, everybody!' ...I'm still a language teacher, dammit; I've gotta teach you guys some Spanish! Anyhow, you can just call me Ms. Yukari, or even Yukari Sensei! For all you Americans among us, it's officially Summer Break! While you kiddos go off to your beaches and your piers and your paloozas or whatever, I'm here to teach you about a little extracurricular program my students and I are doing. I call it... Ms. Yukari's Daioh Drifters! Basically, I'm teaching the brats how to go kart racing. It's all thanks to that fatass doctor's patented Ring Racers. Eh? What's a 'Ring Racer?' That's what I'd like to freaking know! ...Why are you giving me that look? I'm perfectly suitable for teaching people how to drive. Heehee!"

RacerPak​

Chiyo (4,2)​

RIVALS: Tomo, Tails, Ana
"Aww, just look at the little brat go! 10-year-old Chiyo Mihama is both shrimpy and smart. So smart, in fact, she even managed to work one of those dorks' rinky-dink go-karts! With decent speed and little weight to speak of, she's perfect for knoc- I mean, uh, navigating corners well. Yeah! On top of her intellect, Chiyo-chan here is smart enough to do just about anything! ...Except tongue twisters."

Tomo (9,4)​

RIVALS: Yomi, Sonic, Yuuko
"Ugh, do I have to write something for her? Alright. The self-proclaimed Wildcat High School Girl herself, Tomo Takino! I know this because she won't shut up about it. Being the stereotypical Genki girl of my class, Tomo's full of energy. In addition to being relatively floaty compared to the others, she's my fastest student yet! Hell, she could probably run to school if she wanted. (If that's the case, then how is she always friggin' late!?) Anyways, slack off as much as she does, and you'll end up eating Tomo's brake dust! ...What? Okay, fine. I'll buy us freaking juice if- when we win the race. Now stop asking me about it, Tomo!"

Yomi (1,7)​

RIVALS: Tomo, Gutbuster, Stocking
"The most normal of my students by default, because all of these brats are anything but! Koyomi Mizuhara here may be only slightly dumber than Chiyo-chan, but she is as feisty as she is wise. I always get a hoot out of watching her wallop Tomo. I'd like to see Koyomi take me on in a fight, if she even can! Hahaha! Anyways, don't let Yomi's lack of speed fool you; that chub of hers won't let you shove her around so easily. Y'know, if you're always so conscious about your weight, Yomi, how about playing that other Ring game if you wanna get fit!?"

Sakaki (6,8)​

RIVALS: Kagura, Kaorin, Honey
"Eh, I don't have a lot to say about Ms.- uh- (Crap, what's her first name again? Whatever!) I don't have much to say regarding Sakaki here. It's because she barely has anything to say to me during class. Like, speak up here and there, would ya? Although, I hear some of my classmates refer to her as a 'gentle giant.' Apparently it stems from her fascination with cute things and all that girly crap. Sakaki's physique renders her quite heavy, but she's surprisingly quick on the field! Her speed even puts Kagura's to shame, haha! Sakaki better not get too distracted during races, though. I mean have you seen all of the colorful animal critters competing in this thing?"

Kagura (5,6)​

RIVALS: Sakaki, Tomo, Knuckles
"YES!!! Once again, I've got Kagura enrolled here all to myself! With her on my team, we're gonna destroy those other losers! It's all thanks to Kagura's competitiveness and drive-to-win. In other words, what I like to see in my students! With well-rounded speed and weight, she's a Jane of all Trades. (Or would that be Jack because she's a tomboy... Who cares?) Kagura may act all tough and stuff on the outside, but she's a bit of a softie deep down. Heck, I've seen it with my own eyes. Let's hope she takes it well whenever we lose... not that that's ever gonna happen! Heheheh!"

Kaorin (7,3)​

RIVALS: Sakaki, Chihiro, Amy
"Oh hey, it's that poor sap who ended up in Kimura's class! Yeesh... (Before you ask, he is not invited.) Anyways, Kaori- Kaorin- Kalamazoo, whatever you kiddos call her, makes her enrollment into Daioh Drifters! She was very insistent after I mentioned Sakaki would be enrolling. God knows why. Kaorin is floaty like the clouds her head's in, boasting stellar speeds akin to a shooting star. I admire the kid's tenacity, but what's she in a hurry for? Wait- Hey, eyes on the road, Kaorin! Quit eyeballing Sakaki already!"

Chihiro (8,3)​

RIVALS: Kaorin, Chiyo, Milk-chan (Coming soon!)
"Uh- (Who the hell is th-) Oh yeah! Proclaiming to be Kaorin's best friend, Chihiro is definitely the student of my class. She's taking a break from tearing it up at our Culture Festivals, so she can instead tear it up on the track. YEAH!!! Because she's inseparable from Kaorin, Chihiro has stats on par with, if not slightly better than that romantic runt's. Ya think she's moving so quickly because she's fleeing from a cockroach? Anyways, Chihiro makes a surprise appearance in one of these fangled Ring Racer whatchamacallits. I bet she'll need help from Chiyo-chan again during the program, HAH! (Wonder where she got those shades, though...)"

Yotsuba (3,1)​

RIVALS: Chiyo, Osaka, Big
"Eh? It's that little squirt from down the street! ...Aww, but she's just so darn cute! Sure, let's toss this brat into the mix! The neighbors say Yotsuba here is a curious little clover. She's always learning something new, and that's without my teachings! Being the lightest racer yet (duh), her lack of speed comes from lil' Yotsuba taking in the sights in awe. However, just because you can easily shove her aside doesn't mean she lacks her own perks. With her stats, I hear Yotsuba can easily zip around the track by charging her kart with Rings. Cha-ching! With that being said, enjoy this special guest appearance from good lil' Yotsuba! Y'know, I'd like to meet this PE teacher Yotsuba keeps raving about. I bet she's just as stupid as Nyamo, nyeh!"

SoundPak​

"Since I'm one of those cool teachers, I thought I'd throw you kiddos a little something extra. On top of racing as the band of brats above, is an additional SoundPak that brings some audio enhancements! Load it, and select in-game SFX will be replaced with ones from Azumanga Donjyara Daioh! (What the hell is an Azumanga and why are they dying?) The SoundPak also includes 42 songs from the Azumanga Daioh anime, video games, and more! Some music replaces others, while other songs serve to supplement. For example, on top of their usual songs, various race tracks will now have a chance of playing Alt Music from Azumanga Daioh! Can ya find all the songs that were added? I doubt it! (Don't be one of those boring brats who just peeks through SLADE!) If you do open SLADE, all music credits will be in SoundPak's MUSICDEF. Be sure to try out both of Daioh Drifters' packs!"

Lock-On Technology​

"It's revolutionary! Basically, if you have some of these other brats' addons loaded, Daioh Drifters will 'Lock-On' and provide some neat lil' perks! Oh, and you hafta load Daioh Drifters after the compatible addons for the Lock-On Technology to work. Don't get cocky!"

Osaka (CV: Kira Vincent-Davis)​

"If you're wondering why Osaka isn't in the Daioh Drifters program... she's from out of town! Remember? That being said, if you happen to enroll Osaka into your class roster before loading up Daioh Drifters' RacerPak, something neat will happen. Like the rest of the brats in this pack, Osaka will now have her English voice as well! Kart with this Kansai klutz to your heart's content!"

DreamTracks & Bushmill Cup​

"Load one or both of these map packs before loading Daioh Drifters' SoundPak. Then, race on Pizzascape and/or Noise TV Studio for a surprise! (Even if these maps aren't loaded, the 3 Lock-On songs can still be listened to in Stereo Mode."
