GREAT level pack. Didn't like the-hill that much, after beating the boss he just...stood there menacingly. I'm on the reveries build and was playing w/ X Sonic Pro. lowkey kinda scary.

I quite enjoyed this level pack!!! My only issues are in The Hill and The Snow. While I looooove exe, the chase moves a bit too quickly, and it's easy to just bypass the flame wall with the whirlwind shield you're given. I had to use Burning Blaze to even complete the level for the emblem, which isn't great. For the snow, frozen La-Flower gets stuck on just about everything, making it VERY difficult to even get her to the springs.

I'd say something about the difficulty spike, but that could very well be a skill issue on my part. Love the Easter eggs, love the level design, those issues just dampened my experience.

Lastly with The-Snow, when you die on the last section, she doesn't respawn, making it literally impossible to complete if you lose a life. That's a really major bug, and it's left my Sonic and Tails file stuck on The-Snow since I didn't finish act 2 before going.

Besides all that, love the addon. Peak cinema

I played every level but the one with Mr. Subconjunctival hemorrhage. (X or Sonic.Exe.)

It's the only stinker, and not even terrible at that. Still, I rather not do the rage platforming like 1/2 of EXE games. Might be funny if it was a walking simulator.

Clair made me sad and Featherfall was an *incredible* music choice for The-House's first segment so I had X Sonic do his resting taunt pose next her and just left him to sit there for a bit. Maybe I'm a bit of a sap, maybe I'm easily affected, but this sparse little bedroom with all this Sonic memorabilia in a GAME about Sonic the Hedgehog made me both sad and happy at the same time. Doomcute.

Seconding what others have said, The-Hill is a bit clunky ESPECIALLY with that underwater segment. Some streamlining to let the player keep up speed would be good, but it'd probably necessitate redesigning the map. Apart from that, though, this mod is just generally *good.* The little Clair segment just hit me in the gut harder than expected. I'm sure there are lots of people here who can say they've had similar experiences though, with Sonic carrying them in tough times.

Made this Review because I really like this map-pack.

I downloaded this mod originally, when it was just a thicker GreenFlower act 1. And it was fun, too.

I haven't been following this mod, a lot, but when I went into the forums and saw this updated, I wasn't necessarily surprised. Thought it was a patch.

After downloading it, though, I could've said (and still can say) that the playing experience was AMAZING. It's really interesting to dig deep into the cracks and rabbit holes that this whole pack will lead you through. It's interesting, honestly. And a great playing experience.

I'll be honest, my opinions of this mod were really high in my playthrough until the Sonic.exe stuff began. With the looping level, I was actually thinking it'd be something along the lines of "MyHouse.wad" and had to do some puzzlesolving to get to the bottom of things.

I loved the "The Hill" stage as it felt eerie, but the music felt very soothing, which brought a strange sense of ease to everything, but that was until the chase sequence began. Up until now, any sense of horror was subtle, using the level design as its key point, but that was completely thrown out of the window with a chase sequence that felt straight out of a 2018 Sonic.exe fangame, and not in a good way; and that's not even to begin my list of issues with this segment.

You broke one of the fundamental rules of SRB2 level design, and that's using tight, cramped corridors where the camera could barely navigate around, and you added an artificial time limit with a wall of fire approaching on top of that. The constant use of "Sonic.exe Hazards" weren't scary, but extremely infuriating and annoying.

The wall of fire was constantly on my ass, and any mistake meant that by the time I recovered, the wall of fire had come too close for me to do anything, cementing my death and forcing another retry.

The underwater section... what on earth were you thinking? Having to navigate underwater on a time limit was bad enough, but did you really think it was a fun idea to add thin platforms over a bottomless pit, in a DARK environment? I literally had to guess my jumps in a hurry because I had no idea where to go as I couldn't see a thing, and you still put hazards for me to run into along the way. I died so many times there that I just wanted to see what was past that segment in hopes that MAYBE this is just a rough segment among a good mod, but that was quashed with the fight. The moment the fight began, I take a step forward over what looked to be a bugged floor texture only for it to be revealed to be a bottomless pit and kill my last life.

It was at that point I gave up and ragequit. I did not want to spend a second trying that horrible chase segment again, with each attempt having to go through that laughter cutscene. Why is the bossfight not in its own separate act? This change was done for Metal's fight in 2.2 for a reason.

I couldn't even finish the mod because it was that infuriating.

I think this mod needs a serious overhaul, because the "Sonic.exe" thing just isn't it, or at least it's done the wrong way. The starting parts were genuinely good, and that's why I'm giving two stars instead of one - those segments have genuine potential if you keep going along that route instead of the all-up-in-your-face-spooky-sonic like it's the mid 2010s again.

5/5. Spoilers ahead

Started a little bored with the fact that my favorite GFZ speedrun route was impossible and I found the execution on that route fun, but by The-Hill, I'd changed my tune. The level design is just fun as someone who likes platforming, in the areas where there is unique level design.

By The-Aftermath I was pretty invested tbh. Because like, I could kinda relate to La-Flower, I just spent like 5 minutes thokking around. It felt kinda like Final Demo did in my childhood, kinda! I wasn't sure if La-Flower was meant to be an author stand-in, because like. Genders

Then I played The-House? And like
Damn
Up there with Long Journey's End to me. Extremely fun platforming, has something of a self-contained narrative in terms of level design and music, but unlike LJE, this has a bit of actual narrative too, and I gotta say, I like it
I might be reading into things too much but I'm gonna tell you that I think La-Flower is an awesome character and leave it at that and you can read into me saying that if you want!

thanks! i will say La-Flower is not the author stan-in, i have an actual author stand-in, in the form of my sona that appears 3 times in the level pack and is in my pfp lol. La-Flower is just a girl i made after i found out flower's are usually gendered as a girl in the spanish language.

Honestly, before I decided to give this map pack a shot, I figured "Oh, GFZ remade from memory? Can't be that interesting" Boy howdy was I wrong. Even with the levels that share the same general layout as GFZ act 1, a combination of different level themes, BGM and gimmicks really keep things fresh. Keep up the great work!

i Think The Mod Is Great With Multiple Differents The Flower Levels Style But Why Is The Flower Canyon Music Is From FNF?

Because i love FNF and i had trouble finding something that would fit from other Sonic games. I had two that i thought would fit but they felt boring and then FNF got a new update which included this song and well yeah.

I didn't even realize until I played it myself that this is a whole map pack. Even if alot of the levels are arrangements of existing levels, they're super creative. From the exploration of the future, to the lava geysers from hell, everything here is so polished.
Usually I don't go anywhere near the blue faker, but everything here was done extremely well.
Playing all the different variations was an absolute blast.
A robo blast...

Before I start this "review" I'm just going to say, I'm not that good at writing "proper" reviews, so if this comes on sloppy, you know why lol

But anyways!!!!
Yeah, right off the bat, V2 is pretty good... Not going to go over every new level in full detail because they are mostly just the same level, but I feel the gimmicks and theming really carry those levels VERY well and made me not care that I'm mostly playing the same level but with a new coat of paint (THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE BTW!!!!)

But the two unique levels are REALLY good, I especially love the MyHouse.wad inspired/All Levels remixed into one style of Level, that was (again) really good lol and that's Shadow level was also really good, plus, I didn't expect that Shadow Gens transition to happened and that was so cool... also this is like the second map that I actually care enough to collect (almost) all the emblems, (the Shadow record-attack emblems are pretty hard...) the first being NEO Emerald Coast.

But yeah, I really enjoy the new Update 10/10!!!! also, I'm glad that I was able to slightly contribute to map with that small cameo of my funny dragon character lol, also I like La-Flower, she's pretty peak :3

seems pretty accurate to me, a zone name which won't be mentioned to not spoil but the 2nd one was definitely my favorite, loved the random lava geysers would push the ground up lol, great job dude
