segachars.pk3 is a package of additional SEGA IP characters to complement the bonuschars.kart file that comes with the game, for those of you who want SRB2 Kart to be a little more like SRB2Kart & SEGA All-Stars Racing.

This was a concept I had wanted to realize for a while, however a number of issues prevented progress, particularly, bonuschars.kart.
With SRB2Kart v1.1 being the last released version of the game for a while, that means that no additional characters, Sonic, SEGA, or otherwise, will be added to the included Bonus Characters file until a long ways away when Version 2 of SRB2Kart finally arrives.
This allows segachars to add extra SEGA racers to the game without fear of conflicting with further updates to SRB2Kart adding a character that segachars may have.

This initial release will only include four racers that I myself made, although I wish to expand this into a large-scale collaboration of several people pooling their own SEGA racers together, if this proves popular enough.

The included ZIP file comes with the main pack, as well as each character in it's own separate PK3, for those who only want to use only one at a time. The ZIP file also includes a couple extra bonus WADs that provide alternate voices if you should so prefer.

Here are the current racers, in the order that they debuted in a game:

Pengo (Pengo, 1982, Arcade)
Created by: Mr. McScrewup
Speed: 4
Weight: 4

One of SEGA's oldest characters, this arctic bird spends it's days pushing around blocks of ice to squash aggressive snow creatures, known as Sno-Bees. Pengo lives a simpler existence from a simpler age.
In Kart, Pengo is rather middle-of-the-road in terms of stats, although a bit lighter, with a little more emphasis on acceleration than raw speed.

Ristar (Ristar: the Shooting Star, 1995, Sega Genesis / Megadrive)
Created by: Mr. McScrewup
Speed: 9
Weight: 4

A Sonic Team character in nearly everything but name. This long-armed star child was called down by the natives of Flora to help save them and the rest of the Valdi system from the galactic dictator, Greedy.
In Kart, Ristar is fast. Very fast, with the highest possible speed value of 9, but this has the consquense of terrible acceleration, so getting that speed will take a while.
Despite his size, he's a little more dense than he appears, with a weight value of 4, although getting driftboosts will still prove to be a bit difficult.

Vectorman (Vectorman, 1996, Sega Genesis / Megadrive)
Created by: Mr. McScrewup
Speed: 5
Weight: 7

One of many Orbots left by the human race to help clean up a garbage-ridden Earth while they explore elsewhere, Vectorman's duties as a garbage robot are put on hold when an accident causes the malfunctioning robot, Warhead, to assume control of the other robots while Vectorman is busy delivering trash to the Sun. After stopping Warhead's takeover, he is then forced to protect the returning human race once again from a race of vicious alien bugs.
In Kart, Vectorman has a perfect balance between speed and acceleration, although he's a bit on the heavy side, so great care will need to be taken on tight turns.

Reala (NiGHTS into Dreams, 1996, Sega Saturn)
Created by: Mr. McScrewup
Speed: 7
Weight: 6

NiGHTS's darker counterpart, Reala is a sinister nightmare-concocting jester of the dream world who loyally serves the every whim of his creator, Wizeman, while swearing vengeance against NiGHTS for betraying the ranks of the other Nightmarens.
In Kart, Reala is every bit as fast as NiGHTS, though the added muscle makes Reala heavier, so while Reala gets a bit more driftboost power, he also gets a little harder to control.

NOTE: By default, Reala uses his voice from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, however the included zip file also includes an optional WAD that will change Reala's voice to instead use clips from the original Saturn game. There is also another WAD that will do the same for bonuschars's NiGHTS, for consistency with each other.

Changelog:
Code:
Release 1.0 Addendum
- Added a variant of segachars.pk3 that omits Reala from the pack
This is for any server that would want to host this alongside CCCP,
while also wanting to avoid a version of Reala that clashes stylistically with Chrispy's NiGHTS sprites.
  Further updates are extremely unlikely.

Release 1.0
- Added Pengo, Ristar, Vectorman, and Reala
- Changes from original separate character releases:
  Pengo
  - Completely redid Pengo's shading to look nicer with SRB2Kart's current Red palette.
  Vectorman
  - Changed speed value from 7 to 5 to make Vectorman more unique than Vector the Crocodile.
