Sonic 3 is my favorite classic videogame, there's not much I need to clarify, the spritework, the options, the damn physics, everything is so lovingly taken care of, it's a dream come true!!! I look towards the horizon, it would be great to have more characters with this style of sprites like Tails or Knuckles.

AMAZING MOD but hear me out S3 TAILS WITH THE SUPER FLICKIES

This mod is extremely perfect and if you are reading this review(the creator) you could add some songs from Sonic & Knuckles which will have an option and will bring more nostalgia to those who played S&K in my opinion this mod is perfect

Pretty good but he laid me off

Exactly what you would expect if you put S3's Sonic into SRB2, even things like the jump height were affected! I haven't seen all ths boy can do in SRB2, but since it's S3 Sonic he probably can do everything he can in S3.

I would like to start out by saying that this addon is like, stupidly impressive with the amount of unique sprites that have been made for all 8 directions which none look out of place stylistically with the OG sprites. The physics changes for the most part feel absolutely in line with the original S3, and make him much more fun than if it was just a reskinned vanilla Sonic with the Instashield and without the Thok. There's some parts of his gameplay I'd like to see some changes to, though.

First of all, the Spindash in the first two versions was WAY too weak if you were mashing, but in the current version (v1.2), I feel like its initial speed without mashing is TOO fast and is inconsistent with how vanilla chars' spindash speeds ramp up.

Small personal issue, but the Instashield hitbox feels juuuuust a smidge smaller than I expect.

Launching from springs and coming up out of water straight up just doesn't work sometimes. (See the red springs at the end of Deep Sea 3)

Final thing, trying to spindash on certain slopes straight up doesn't work, which I've experienced as a major problem on OLDC 2023 R1's Blossom Breeze 1, which the majority of slopes there have that problem. It doesn't happen in any vanilla maps as far as I know, but it's most likely a prominent issue on other custom maps, so I hope that's looked into for future versions.

I've been getting addons for quite sometime now, but your addon alone made me want to go make an account just so I can tell you how just amazing this character is

Just everything, feels so precisely right, the physics are perfect, badnik bounces feel just as good as the did in the classic titles, and just like those classic titles, he's so rewarding to play as

You didn't just bring Sonic 3 sonic, you brought the most Accurate Classic Sonic to SRB2, absolute phenomenal job!!

The spritework brings tears to my eyes, and the physics (literally) feel like no other!!! It's a twist on vanilla SRB2, and there's not many of those nowadays.
I wanna say it again: The spritework brings tears to my eyes aaahh...

okay, uhmmm... i think this may be my fault, but on my first rating where i said the "spindash wasnt strong enough", turns out i wasnt charging it fully. though, it would be nice if the spindash only took 6 revs to fully charge instead of 12, and i noticed the spindash in this mod took 12 presses, not 6 like in sonic 3. sooo just change the spindash back to the charge levels and half the amount of button presses to 6.

ALSO, some sort of spindash config could be added to the settings, like how many button presses it takes to rev it, and the max strength, like "normal" and "strong".

and im so sorry for asking so much but the keep ring and shield options only work when going to a boss stage, not when going between acts

this is my favorite SRB2 addon, and i have been testing it out and playing the addon on different level packs every day, thank you for this and i want you to remember to take your time, and only add what you want. it is your addon after all!

Spindash is changed to maximum 4 charges which is how it is in the original game.

You only keep rings to a boss if the level you were last on is the same zone as the boss.

Shields don't transfer between zones only within acts.

this is the most accurate "classic" mod that i have ever played, classic-ish physics, insta-shield, crouching and even custom music, didnt take long to come out from the direct and it was worth it! only thing he lacks is a hyper form but thats ok

Ayyyyyyy! Not only do we have the insta-shield, making him already good, but this Sonic has a custom speed shoes theme as well that's really good. And.. classic spindash mechanics?! Oh my gosh! I thought SRB2 couldn't handle Sonic crouching but it can!

Never thought I'd see the day S3 Sonic time traveled to the future. Honestly a superb and really good character mod here on SRB2.

I must ask, out of curiosity, if he will be Super Peel Out compatible? Would love to see that since he can do it in Sonic 3 Angel Island Revisited.
