i love him so much as much as i do with the mechanics,the model is very charming and i love it,my only complaint is that the sprites need some more work,but since i use models i dont care,i love this and hope it becomes the best version of itself soon

To be entirely truthful, no work on the improved version has been done. And on the sprites, the majority were from Sonic Mars.

If i were you, i'd go on edit the sprites, when i see the spring and fall sprites, oh my god, is he just spinning or something??? The model included in it is actually good, but needs improvement too as i see some transparent parts on the model like the wrists. Anyways, this is not bad, you actually put effort into it, you tried. About your match map plan, i'd be honored to help. I just got into mapping not long ago.

He feels clunky and kinda bad. The sprites are shit, although I won't bang you on that. The charged d-jump is supposed to be his primary, but I feel you kinda fucked it up. I'd suggest a few things to make him... well... BETTER, in the Discussion thread, but as of now, it's just weird, stupid, barebones, a bit lazy, and doesn't know what it's trying to be. And I don't like games that do that. Don't bang me on this, just being honest.

Okay, so apparently this is a pretty good, but I can't be able to get the model out of the file, since this is a wad file.

this is definitely a mod that could be described as "good enough". it definitely does work, i will give you that, but the barebones ability it does have is extremely clunky, seems to have been rushed GREATLY (you're able to charge it by holding spin before a jump or just pressing spin off the ground) and, come on, why custom 1??? the jump button is right there.

overall it's extremely rushed and exists purely for the novelty. it's a funny novelty, to be sure, i do enjoy mods like these where the entire appeal is the spritework, but as a character mod it's not very enjoyable. i do hope it does become improved upon, though.

yeah, i agree. even as the mod's creator i could describe it as good enough. it felt good to release in the moment, but fell short when put in others' hands. thank you for being honest.

Okay, I normally do not approve of sprite rips, especially ones... this ugly, but I'll let it slide because there's a custom ability on it.

However I have to ask... why does it act like this? Pressing jump normally does nothing at all, and the primary function is on Custom 1? Why isnt this using an AbilitySpecial hook so it can be on jump instead? Why did it need this extra button? In addition, charging this double jump means... pressing spin in midair. There's nothing stopping you from pressing jump and spin 4 times to get it to max, other than time spent doing so, and needing to deal with your shield triggering as you try to do it. The ability is there, but it feels super awkward to execute.

You may be onto something here, but it just feels like a pretty poor quality Sonic overall. I do hope you think of perhaps another method to rack up midair jump strength, and PLEASE just use the AbilitySpecial hook instead of custom 1. Try to not use custom buttons unless you absolutely need to, especially when the clear answer is right there.

i was being dumb and thinking about a "simple" way to execute the double jump but made it clunkier than people would like. 1.1 will fix this. thank you for providing feedback. i'll take this into account.
