This is a small patch that was meant to come along with 2.2.11's release to fix the issues it caused, but I decided to release it now because it's been rotting in my folders for several months now and 2.2.11 shows no sign of releasing anytime soon;

Changes are as follow:

  • The camera is no longer forced behind the player when dashing with Hand Sonic and can be moved around freely during the move as well.
    • The player is still locked to moving in the initial direction faced before activating the ability.
    • This also doubles as better support for the Simple mode controlscheme.
  • Hand Sonic can now trigger Power Spring.
    • Regular Hand Sonic gains a horizontal momentum increase when hitting sideways or diagonal springs.
    • Dive Hand Sonic gains a vertical momentum increase from straight or diagonal springs, and may activate them at a short range if your landing wasn't all that precise.
  • Added support for uncapped builds in preparation for 2.2.11's release

  • Improved support for BattleMod
    • Blocking Hand Sonic's extended slash hitbox will send Kanade into tumble.
    • Howling no longer drains Rings on hold and has a maximum duration of 4 seconds.

  • Fixed a bug where the wings would disappear if you fell on the floor during Angel Wing's preparation time, allowing usage of a regular Hand Sonic with a higher jump instead of a dive.
  • Fixed "Kanade Switching" which allowed any character to gain a permanent Hand Sonic state by switching skins the same frame Hand Sonic was used.
  • Removed SRB2Persona-related graphics & code.
