I hope you're all enjoying the V8.3 update of the pack, cause I have some news regarding to the map pack.

I have decided to not work on updates of the map pack until V2.4. releases. I'm already planning to make changes with the current maps of the pack. This also includes the upcoming new map for the Laser Cup as well as the special stage for that cup. Those will probably be out sometime in early 2026 unless V2.4. is out to the general public, and right now it's all RCs, so wait just a little longer until i'm good and ready. Until then, enjoy the current update of the pack.
Here's a quickfix patch, and this involves Battleship Harbor, using the wrong file. Now updated to show the updated course.
It's been awhile since I made updates to the maps, but it's about time I update some maps.

Delfino Coast:
-A new FOF for the ocean has been included.
-Fixes on some parts of the map like the starting banner and the graffiti.

Starmine Speedway:
-Now reduced to 2 laps instead of 3, going back to the old days when it was originally 4 since the checkpoint feature was added.
-Deathpits have been added on some parts, mostly in the off-course sides.
-Arranged the pattern of the course.

Puyo Puyo Arena:
-A new thumbnail has been added for the course.

Battleship Harbor:
-More space on parts of the map.
-Deathpits added, mostly on areas such as the second carrier.
Wanted to do another fix for this pack.

-The picture for Dolphin Temple is restored.
-Fixed some Brightmaps for Polar Paradise.
V8.2- All tracks are now V2.4 compatible!

Woshee and I have been working on updates on all the maps as the RC versions of Ring Racers V2.4 is out. So here's everything you need to know about the V8.2 update.

ALL TRACKS ARE NOW V2.4 COMPATIBLE! Every track from the three Paks now include checkpoints (Except BSOD Ring and Mega Frutiger).
However, almost all tracks contain major changes.

Breezy Village:
-The removal of the pond before the diamond section, now replaced by a round wall.

Donburi Skyway:
-Due to the removal of old Sky Babylon textures, new textures are in place on the fortress section after the first flying section.

Delfino Coast:
-Some rings are removed due to the new checkpoint areas.

Frutiger Aeropolis:
-Dash rings has been added after the first split in the rooftop area.
-Springs were added at the near entrance to the Bliss Garden.
-New textures have been created, replacing some old ones. Some were modified for directional purposes.

Spiral Hill Circuit:
-Had to take action involving old texture removal, so brought in some other ones, including a return of one of the old textures, mostly in the bridges that connect the village.

Monkey Target:
-Gradient Textures being more in style with ring racers.
-More visual improvements.
-Improved Waypoints
-Removed guard rails on long straights (idk whats up with the bots not turning immediately on MAX level.)
-Changed ring placement to be less spammy (since this track is drift heavy, the rings are more so for recovery in specific areas.)
-Removed springs to reduce automation of the final two U-turns before the spring jump.

Sapphire Mountain:
-Some rings removed to accommodate the free ring bonus near checkpoints.
-Some billboards has been changed with new styles.

Tetromino Palace:
-Removed some rings from nearby checkpoints.

Starmine Speedway:
-Because of the changes of the V2.4 updates, the lap count has been reduced from 6 to 3, also in place of the former second lap line is the checkpoint.
-Brightmap improvements have been added.

Polar Paradise Zone:
-Reduced and removed some item capsules.
-One section has raised elevation, and another has texture changes.
-Added some brightmaps and a new ad on the map.

Puyo Puyo Arena:
-After a rough release, Puyo Puyo Arena has gotten an overhaul of changes including new Puyo sprites:
-Many of the sections now got jumps.
-Garbage Puyo has been added on the map, watch out, they hurt you.
-Puyos has been added on the map as audience and on the background raining down.

Mega Frutiger Aeropolis:
-This map has a new layout, mostly in the final turn, giving it mostly 33 seconds. As part of the change, the lap count is now 6.
-Like other Mega maps, this uses the Camera Height change.

Sky Spire:
-Updated layout with new textures and a fence.
-A new song had been swapped.

Retro Maze CE:
-Both variants have received some ring placement changes, to look like the original arcade layout.

I think you're all excited to return to playing these maps as we worked hard on getting them updated. Still on track to work on the last Laser Cup course which will come in the future.

Thank you Woshee, Star Channel 64, and Epix for the help!

Forgot to remove the other Horizon Effect on the other wall in Super FX Field. Now it's all cleared.
Well I wanted to fix this, and I deserve it. Last one for the weekend's closure.
-Puyo Puyo Arena's lap count has been reduced to 2 laps. However, more changes will come at a later time involving the map's identity.
-Battleship Harbor's visuals has been changed involving the carriers, all in their respective gray color.
-Super FX Field's background has been changed, no more motion sickness.

That's enough from me, enjoy!
Sorry about the release, but I had to fix something so it's good to go.

Fixed the issue involving the brightmaps for Starmine, which will have an error message pop up. This is now fixed.

Also, the version number remain the same, only I included a letter. This will happen in later updates. I hope you'll understand.
It's almost the weekend, so I figured I make some significant changes with a new patch. Even though i'm hard at work on the final Laser Cup map. Anyway, here are some new changes.

-Brightmap adjustments now improved on Starmine Speedway.
-Fixed an issue for the CPUs performing a trick in Battleship Harbor.
-Frutiger Aeropolis visual changes including one in the platform.
-An improved pool bowl in Sky Spire.
-A new song has been added to Sky Spire.

Well that's all from me, enjoy!

V8: The Resistance Update!

September is finally coming, and now I present to you, the next update, V8: the Resistance Update. As we are approaching the release of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, I figured I release the map pack early. This new update features 4 brand new maps and a new battle variant of an existing map! Also, some changes to the existing maps. Let's take a look at the new stuff in V8.

New Maps: Puyo Puyo Arena and Battleship Harbor
New Battle Maps: Super FX Field and Sky Spire
New Battle Variant: Retro Maze CE

Puyo Puyo Arena.png

Puyo Puyo Arena (Pak 3)- A race and a Puyo Battle on the same arena, count us in! Race around this large plus-shaped map with various elevation and gimmick differences.

Battleship Harbor.png

Battleship Harbor (Pak 3)- Set in the middle of the ocean during a naval war, inspired by the After Burner series and Huge Crisis from Sonic Rush. Two Rideroid flying sections with a lot of speed to gain momentum, and of course, jump from ship to ship to avoid mass firepower around the course.

Super FX Field.png

Super FX Field (Pak 3)- Set sometime in 1993, and you enter a battle map set in the style of the Super FX Microchip, inspired by the games that use the chip such as Star Fox and Stunt Race FX. During Overtime, players battle in the center.

Sky Spire.png

Sky Spire (Pak 1)- A new battle arena set on the rooftop of a high-rise building in Frutiger Aeropolis. Seek out opponents in this rooftop rumble with various areas to enjoy.

Retro Maze CE B.png

Retro Maze CE (Pak 1)- Looks like Retro Maze CE has got a Battle variant! The race course now features some new sections built for battle, while others have been removed.

Let's see what other changes happened in this update.
-Midnight Bay Streets and Nimbus Arena on the other hand are now back as bonus maps with Puyo Puyo Arena and Super FX Field now in place in Pak 3.
-The Position Area in Saturn Starway has been moved to the spring area.
-Dedicated position intros for the first maps, battle maps, and maps from the Frutiger Aeropolis metro has been added.

Thank you for waiting, I won't be doing any new maps for awhile, maybe around the holidays. Have a good one!
