V9- The Aero Moon Update
New Courses: Frutiger Aeropolis 2 and Retro Maze CEDX
New Playground Map: Bliss Garden
New Encore Variant: BSOD Ring (Red Hell)
New Songs
All courses received updates on checkpoints and other content.
We finally start with the true completion of the Laser Cup (with a dedicated Emotion Engine stage later in a future update, so this uses Memory)
New Track: Retro Maze CEDX (Pak 3)
Another revamped version of Retro Maze CE, done by Woshee. After experiencing numerous problems with the original, he created a simplified version of the map, featuring new elements and a distinct setting that differed from the original. This course will be part of the Laser Cup’s 3rd round, replacing Puyo Puyo Arena. This also replaces the original Retro Maze CE.
New Track: Frutiger Aeropolis 2 (Pak 3)
After months of waiting and all of my hard work, Frutiger Aeropolis has now expanded with a 2nd route! This time, it takes place at night and features an all-new route, taking inspiration from the Sonic Riders games. You will now traverse into the city with a lake, power stations, and of course, the Stellatia Subway metro tunnel. It’s an intense race around the city for 2 laps to complete the Laser Cup! This also features new songs from the Frutiger Aeropolis Radio soundtrack. Good luck!
New Playground Map: Bliss Garden (Pak 1)
For the first time ever, the map pack features the first Playground map, Bliss Garden. If you like Frutiger Aero so much, especially with my maps, this relaxing map is for you. I wanted to give this area something to deserve with going back in time to the 2000s and enter a garden on a sky vista with the view of the Frutiger Aeropolis’ skyline.
New Songs added! I bet you're excited because there are some brand-new songs added to the map pack. See if you can find them. Also, if you have been listening to the songs in Frutiger Aeropolis, there will be a new album called
Frutiger Aeropolis Radio, as a couple of new songs are being added to Act 2, including the song you heard in the Emotion Engine stages. The songs composed by the composers will be posted on various platforms soon, and will continue using the name for future Stellatia maps.
New Encore Variant: BSOD Ring has now become Red Hell with the rise of the Red Screen of Death.
All tracks of the Track Pak have been adjusted with new checkpoints and enhancements to the maps. Woshee and I have been working on the maps throughout December, and completed all of them so I hope you’re all ready for these. Some of the other maps all got significant changes.
-Some tracks now have checkpoint banners where the checkpoints are located, something I wanted to include since 2.4 is out.
-Sapphire Mountain has a new section before the finish line.
-Donburi Skyway has some changes, mostly with the path before the second rocket section.
-Starmine Speedway received a new long straight involving a hill-like section.
-Nintendo GameCube’s four capsules from the outside of the arena, now move.
-Adjusted the second ice section in the Emotion Engine Computer stage.
-All the maps of the three cups now include the KKD medals, see if you can find them!
Also, some other news about the other maps that were in V9: Puyo Puyo Arena, Midnight Bay Streets, Nimbus Arena, and Mega Tetrimino Palace are on hold for now. They were originally included in Paks 2 and 3, but I would rather add them to a separate cup for Pak 4, which will be in V10, along with some new and unique maps. Also, I have removed Retro Maze CE (original from Pak 1), so if people really miss the two maps, I might bring it back by demand. So for now, it’s Paks 1-3.
I wanted to give a shout out to Woshee and Ruberjig for play testing the maps and map changes, but also the contributors to the project.
-RioDies for the Omochao voice in the Frutiger Aeropolis maps
-Ant for the PA voice for the subway section of Frutiger Aeropolis 2
-ViRiX Dreamcore for the composition of Frutiger Aeropolis 2 and the PA sound enhancements.
-qteku for the composition of Stellatia Rush.
-Kaminu for the Chaos Cola ad.
-GuiltyBadguy for the ad suggestions for Frutiger Aeropolis 2.
-TeckGeck for the album cover for the Frutiger Aeropolis Radio soundtrack.
I hope you all enjoy the packs and all the hard work.
