Bubsy the Bobcat Claws into SRB2!
Bubsy the Bobcat returns from 2.1, with his infamous quotes and dialect. Despite being a joke character, there is a bit of a fun / challenge element to him.

Abilities & Important Notes:
1.) Float
Pressing jump while in air allows Bubsy to spread his arms out and float his way down, protecting him from fall damage. Thats right; Bubsy has fall damage, so jumping or falling from a high point may result in death. Floating is a good way to slow yourself down to prevent death by fall damage.

2.) Shield
If you have 20 or more rings, you can press Custom 1 to buy a pity shield. This shield saves you from dying instantly upon getting hit. Yes, you heard that one right too. If Bubsy gets hit, even once, he will die. You can only destroy enemies by jumping on them, or floating down on them from above. Any other interaction with an enemy, an obstacle, hazard, etc. will result in immediate death. This includes water. However, a shield will save you from sudden death, and instead just regularly hurt Bubsy. A shield is also useful for water areas, as it keep him safe from getting his fur wet and dying.
