Eh, Sonic Labyrinth didn't even have Special Stages, nor the entire game is considered to be one.

Eh, i find those to be the peak Special Stage design. You are either playing the Super Emerald stages (which are half-cheeks), or you just have skill issue.

"Somewhat 3D"? Dude, every game including this style after Sonic 2 (not counting the 2013 mobile port) is in full-3D. Even 3D BLAST made it 3D, unlike the actual gameplay.
