Suggestions

I personally like Amy where she is now, in 2.2.13, but I also wanna see Amy's new moveset.
I think that in 2.2.14, alongside Amy's new moveset, the devs had oughta include Legacy Amy(2.2.13 Amy, sprites included) as a 4th secret character, unlockable by getting all of Frozen Hillside Zone's Emblems.
 
1: an improved adventure mode unlocked by beating Christmas Chime, since it was originally unlocked by beating Spring Hill in the final demo, and that level became Christmas Chime in 2.2.
2: a true final boss that you fight with Super Sonic
 
Instead of completely scrapping circuit maps how about bringing them back and make each one of them focus on a specific character, this would:

A - Solve balancing issues like Sonic just thokking his way through every map or Tails using his fly charge over everything before other players even have a chance to actually do anything
B - Add variety so circuit maps don't just turn into thokfests or repeating the same tricks over and over

I do actually think circuit maps could make a comeback in modern SRB2 with all the modding capabilities that we have today.
I wouldn't really say making maps focus on specific characters would make it more fun, though. Maybe the mode could disable double-jump abilities altogether?
 
Could we get an option to turn off the underwater drowning music? It gets a bit irritating after playing the game for a while.
The 1up can already be toggled into a sound and you still have the drowning countdown making noise to alert you when you're drowning, so why not?

devs have already vetoed this idea before, although it was a long time ago so maybe their stance has changed.
 
probably somewhere on the hud or pause screen the number of spheres that you need to collect at a special stage should be displayed because someone like me might have an issue brain and they can immediately forget in a second how many spheres you need to collect spheres
 
IIRC they are in another dimension, that's why Sonic can't be Hyper anymore
where did you get this exactly?? in mania it's shown the super emeralds are cracked and so can't be used, i've never heard of them going to another dimension after S3

same issue with super sonic music. no, I won’t say that I don’t like it, at least it’s a little longer than the looped 5 second music from classic sonic, but I think it would be a nice QoL feature

Do the devs actually look at this?
There's a chance that someone on the team might skim through from time to time to stay up to date on it, but the odds of anything here actually getting used are probably very slim. It's just a convenient dumping ground for us to put our ideas into so they don't clutter up other parts of the forum via new topics getting created.

That's not to say posting here is a waste of time though, there's always the slim chance that something posted here could get used or inspire a similar change/addition to the game.
 
maybe add the ability to bubble shield to throw you higher if you use it when you are high. something like Fang's tail bounce ability. I think it would be fun.

The "Lock Button Behavior" is currently (2.2.13) only available for the automatic playstyle. I'm unsure if this is an "issue" or just deliberate because of technical reasons. Would it be possible to implement this option for strafe/manual playstyles in a future release ?

Quick sum up of my application : I play 3rd person with no mouselook, manual style. However for specific sections I would like to toggle on "Mouselook" to help me seeing up/down (without switching to 1st person), and then toggle off when I'm done. It is currently possible under automatic playstyle, and if I bind "Toggle Mouselook" and "Center View" to the same button, with the "Lock Button Behavior" set to Toggle, I achieve the expected behavior. However it comes with a cost since it forces me to switch to automatic playstyle rather than manual style.
