wait, if we've gotten a teaser of dark sonic having a chance to be in the mod, will one of the ways to access him be through roll the dice deluxes dark form?

Probably not, given that mod has long since been discontinued, what with the guy who made it getting banned from here for... reasons.

I'd assume the Dark form would probably be a Sol Form equivalent, if anything.

also seperate art from artist, just cuz its been discontinued (and the guy got banned) doesn't mean you CAN'T have support for it, also i said ONE of the ways you can transform into dark sonic, so yeah a sol form would make sense too, but another way could be some sort of callback to the super emeralds unlock where emerald tokens are a bit darker (fake emerald tokens) and collecting them and finishing a stage takes you to slightly harder versions of the special stages in single player and multiplayer, which lets you collect the fake emeralds and collecting 65-70 rings lets you transform into dark super sonic.

... but that one's a tall order given how it needs 14 custom levels which are more difficult, but still fair (especially compared to multiplayer special stage 7)

then you could make it just for singleplayer and make getting fake emerald tokens in multiplayer how you get fake emeralds? (given at the end of a stage)
