Except for playing with debug mode to get all the emeralds, and get it to save if you know how to.
Sadly enough, the 3D Eiseon (sic) balls(heh) weren't in the S3K debug mode. Those were really cool to play with, but the drawback of S3's debug mode is that it's practi-freakin-ly impossible to get to it, if you don't want your fingers to catch on fire and fall off. =P

S3K is OK. It has no real good reason to play after you're done, though.
Odd, I've already beaten it upwards 50 times. The fun factor is enough for me.

Personally, I've probably beaten it upwards of a thousand times. Me and one of my friends used to play through it daily using the 2nd controller to play a sort of coop mode. We did that for several years.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles had so many secret pathways that it made it interesting to play through again and again, because I was never sure I had found everything.

I haven't beaten this because two reasons:

1. I have played S3 and S&K entirely a lot of times, then why play this again? Also, using debug mode, I enter with Sonic to the parts of Knuckles ;)

2. Actually, I haven't S&K for do the lock-up :(

Probably the only times that I played S3&K were using emulators (yes, plural, is more, I have a lot of they, and actually I can emulate more than 10 consoles!!!)

How's 26? I think I even have an Atari 2600 emulator around here somewhere

Well, I have a MSX emulator

I have emulators for:
  • MegaDrive
  • Mega CD
  • Mega 32x
  • Master System
  • Game Gear
  • NES
  • SNES
  • Saturn
  • Model 2B and 2C
  • The multi-arcade MAME ;)
  • MSX
  • PSX

Supposedly August 2nd is the date for Gems Collection. Get ready.

I like all of the sonic games for one of the most strange reasons.
I love finding bugs at a lot of games.

You want bugs? Go play the original Japanese version of Sonic Adventure for the DC.

Also, speaking of, I noticed something that noone seemed to see before; Sorting through the voice files in my SADXPC directory, I found clips of all the main characters saying both "Sega" and "Sonic Team". Was this going to be used in a similar fashion to the older Sonic games (The SEGA sound) and changed depending on what character you used previously (Like the menu sounds), or has it been used all along in something that I'm just not aware of? o_o

I saw that, if you set the game to a character theme in SADV1 or SADV2:B You can hear they say sega if you wait until a demo screen appears and press any button.
The sound will change depending in which character the game is themed.
I don't know. I've only played SADV2 on the DC. That's the onliest 128-bit game I've played in my entire life.

Seriously, though, no console out right now has a 128-bit processor, despite this being the so-called "128-bit generation". Heck, 64-bit processors are JUST NOW becoming relevant with PCs.

Consoles have actually more power than PCs (at least for play games).

No, not really. They get more power when they first come out, then a few months/years later, PCs pull WAAAAAAY ahead of the pack.

Regardless, they don't have 128-bit processors either.

Actually, I think if you let it play through the title video.. thingie through a few times, Tails will say it.

You're all confused. When they say "128-bit processors", they mean 128-bit graphics processors. So yes, there ARE 128-bit systems. And even so, 128-bit processors exist, but they aren't possible for use in home computers for the foreseeable future.

And no, computers and consoles are generally on the same level. PC's just SEEM inferior because they have to dedicate most of their resources to Windows, other programs, and, of course... spyware ^_^. Consoles don't have any of this to deal with and can dedicate all of their power to playing the games.
