Sage

Sage 1.1

Horray, i can finally play as the irrelevant child.

Her abilities are pretty cool and much controlable compared to the one from Infinite. Her floaty form is kinda feels like playing as Tails Doll. This really is a top notch character :wonderful:
lmfao that gif's what I was thinking too lol :wow:

I was playing with her and i found this weird thing.
For some reason this things kills you only if you jump when it pushes you, if that pushes you while you are in the floor this not kill you.
Also using her Transfer Teleport you can skip the goal post on this level aswell

This also applies to Arid Canyon 1, and is not actually a problem with Sage herself. That's just how the maps have their exit sectors set up.
Either lightdasher would have to provide edits of the vanilla maps (which would not be recommended), or Sage's Phase code actually has to check the sectors and/or FOFs she may have phased through (which would probably be cumbersome to do), so I understand why lightdasher chose neither

Known on release, this is a hardcode bug related to MF_NOGRAVITY, which Sage has while floating and not in goop (because that also breaks :dramahog:).

This also happens with zoom tubes and is on the list to fix eventually, I couldn't get it to work when I tried before because of the absurd speed the teleport collison test dummy needs to move at.
I sent in Discord DMs but I'm gonna send it here just incase it goes unseen. In multiplayer settings, Sage still loses a life if she completes the level and then dies. If the server has shared lives turned on, this will also cause other players to lose lives as if she never completed the stage
And lastly, that one is just a silly oversight and will be fixed next patch.

Honestly, this is funny to do.

Already this is cool. Sage literally can pass trough lava a falling plataforms without problems if she is going with enough speed to float

Love the mod. I don't know how you made those glitch effects on both Sage and the enemies but they look amazing! Since she don't have a roll form, changing her to a beam of light is genius! The overall design and level of detail of her is amazing! Even the death animation is greatly handled! Due to having the beam, not taking the usual routes and go on alternatives proved to be a nice challenge. I could also take out some enemies easier that gave me difficulty before.

Need I forget to mention her super from? So damn good and pretty! The music too is the cherry on top of the cake! Even the teleportation was fun and saved my bacon on more than one occasion! And sometimes I teleported myself straight to death.

My only real issue are the moon controls. I get what you were going for but the amount of times where I flubbed a jump, slid off the side, missed an attack, sliding off buttons, unable to collect fallen rings, flew passed check points and having to turn back around was a constant annoyance. Egg Rock is a prime example, switching the gravity kept the camera acting up in Act 1, charging off ledges, the zero gravity sections were twice as bad and honestly got a little disoriented. I did get used to it over time, even beaten the challenge levels with her.

Overall this is a solid mod that everyone should try out if they like the character! Glad to play her!

light dasher updated Sage with a new update entry:

Sage 1.1 - Hotfix and quality of life update

It's hotfix time for Sage! We've fixed some of the (unintentional) gltiches, added a new feature or two, and slightly improved your quality of life.
  • Added missing grinding sprites
  • Transfer Beam can now attack hostile players in competitive modes
    • When hit by the beam, players aren't immediately damaged and instead lose 5 rings per second
    • Uncharged beams corrupt for 1 second, charged corrupts for 3 seconds but will not autotarget players
    • Once the timer runs out...

I still dont understand why PAPA (eggman) wanna kill sage his own daughter. WHERE IS THE LOGIC???

Read the overview page to locate the lore.
It seems she's running simulations of Sonic's past adventures with herself in the role of the heroic hedgehog. Firsthand experience fighting her father's past creations will surely help her devise better strategies to defeat Sonic in the future.

finally some self defense for sage
also damn guess light dasher really did fix the exit sectors thing, ironic

she probably used either of the methods stated by this cool guy right here, but still funny how that aged just now

I'm not really sure how to go super once you get all the emeralds or Sage's equiv I guess, it says they do something but I don't see what.

Edit: Nevermind my controller was busted

Any particular reason v2.2.15 is required to play this? I can't access that version due to still using mobile versions, and so far, there isn't a stable release of v2.2.15 for mobile devices.

Just finished a full playthrough of the mod and honestly I thought it was pretty good. Although I do have some gripes with it.
The ability to alter the color of Sage's special effects is cool since it lets you play the whole game as a cyan Sage but the flickering is kind of annoying since it tends to go back to red & black which is the default which is minor but it just made it feel like something was wrong with Sage since you can't turn it off. And it also does not affect the sign post or the lives counter so it really gets noticeable after a while.
Also if you go idle then these noises start playing which while accurate to Sage herself, It just makes me feel uncomfortable especially since she has no idle animation. And if you're playing with music off (Or recording footage to later put custom music over it) it can really show when there's parts when there's nothing going on.
The hover ability however was hilarious. The ability to just float over obstacles made me bust up laughing. Especially when I found out you could use the jump and teleport any time if you go off a ledge like it's Coyote time or the fact that you could do it on Lava. I even made a few jokes about Sage singing Guns N Roses' Paradise City during Red Volcano because of that factor. (You can't hear them because the mic was muted but I made them during my playthrough) However it made Castle Eggman's boss a real "WHAT?" fest since you basically have to go really slow on the buttons just to press them but doing so makes it easy for Sage to get hit with a spiked ball to the face. You could try stomping while teleporting but then you lose all your momentum and if you're too close to a spiked ball, you're taking damage.
The projectiles however kind of made it annoying for her. Since unlike Ralsei, Sage has no way of attacking by jumping so they were my only offense. And there can only be one projectile at a time meaning you basically have to be a sharpshooter with her otherwise you're wide-open to attack since the fire rate is really slow. (Makes me wonder if she just doesn't have the Double Tap perk?) Though I still think Ralsei's Pacify is worse because at least Sage's goes way faster and if it hits something it can cause an explosion which when charged is instant and brings her to where it went off. And who doesn't like explosions?
