There's this small issue but doesn't have to do with gameplay, The settings that you put after downloading the updated version don't save anymore. Like if you had models on then turn em off the next time you open the game they'll be on again and this is for every setting. I didn't say anything earlier cause I thought there was a save button feature that I could've missed or something, but that's all!

Try deleting reveries.cfg? It may have been corrupted by the gamepad refactor update.
 
Not completely sure if anything can be done when it comes to issues with specific modded characters, but the characters in Nick's Tower of Pizza Pack seem to be broken when used in this mod, being unable to turn at all when they enter their Mach 3 states.
 
I tried everything, I even deleted and reinstalled everything and it won't save.
If you're on Steam Deck / Flatpak try installing the official Flatseal flatpak and using it to enable this option:

If you're on Windows make sure the exe has persmission to write to the disk? I'm a bit stumped because the code Reveries uses to save its config file is identical to vanilla outside of the name being different.

I fixed it! I took the f1 separate folder put the reveries app and reveries.pk3 there instead the dragged the vanilla config in there. I feel like a Dev/Modder now! XD
 
so what happened so the android version crashes on startup?
iirc on the latest 2.2.14 prerelease the opengl option won't work thanks to the shaders, maybe because of that?
 
Yeah, it's still loading the old assets. An update will be soon once 2.2.15 or whatever the hotfix will be called is out.
Question: Why are you waiting for the hotfix? I mean, the level select glitch seems pretty easy to fix, the other ones I don't know about. I mean, I'm no developer, but still. By the way I don't mean to be rule 15 or rude or anything.

A large amount of major addons cause 2.2.14 to crash if loaded, and there were a few other major issues that slipped in last second, so 2.2.15 is being released very soon to correct those. By the way, the indev version of 2.2.14 the current release of Reveries is based on is not affected by these issues, as they happened afterward.

hi, pastel here to update reveries to 2.2.15

this was planned to release alongside 2.2.14 but due to the myriad of issues i opted to instead add a few more extra things... and then basically demonlish my post-release todo list.. and then oops no more major updates so just pretend this is the world's largest minor update

Note: the shield button is still in this build, I am keeping it despite 2.2.15 removing it, I use a different config for this anyways so I can do stuff like that.

F4A: Thorn In Your Shield

  • fixed the thorn shield being unobtainable and also broken
  • armageddon charge also converts normal rings into quicksilver rings
    • updated the look of quicksilver rings
  • deleted an unused freeslot
  • temporary workaround for metal sonic model until jeck updates it
  • fixed drop dash charge conflicting with comet dash wall rebound

I'm not sure how much of a priority compatibility with non vanilla characters has, but there's a bug with ray's momentum while gliding.

It feels like a lot more of his speed gets reduced from gliding up in reveries.

I hope there's a fix for this because i really love this mod but ray is also one of my favorite modded characters.:dramahog:
 
hi, for some reason when i try to load the mod, the title screen image gets replaced by a black screen with red words saying "wrong exe", and when i try to play the game, the same thing happens; black screen saying "wrong exe" (EXE? LIKE SONIC.EXE REAL)

i'll look into it, but ray is designed for vanilla gravity so there's not a whole lot i can do about him

that error happens when you try to load reveries.pk3 in the vanilla game; in order to launch the mod you need to run the srb2r.exe
 
Hello, I've ran into something unexpected while playing and it's not a bug or anything like that. It's about the shields(specifically the mix one with fire and water one) I like the concept but there are many points in the game and some custom levels where it's expected to be a ground pound. To be honest I've thought this shield in particular was strange to say the least since the wind shield was the aerial one and I feel the the mixed one should be close to to edit version of MRCE version where you slam but if you hit a curve you can keep that downward momentum and translate it the rolling speed. I've had this complaint in mind for a while but just ignored it since it never bothered me at the time but I've decided to collect every emblem in the game again and there's one where you need to utilize the mixed shield for downward momentum but the reveries one goes up so I couldn't get it, also seeing how you reworked the explosive shield it made me feel that you don't mind changing the shields so I decided to try to give you an idea for a reworked mix shield.
