Quick Time Events!

Hi!

This thread is to showcase this mod and post updates before the final release.
Just like the title says, Quick Time Events!

So far I only have done the ramp logic, sound, different types of difficulty(only 3 for now), and 2 types of HUD. The map maker can chose between the difficulties.
My goal with this is to make an accesible tool for the map makers that want to add this to their maps.

I'll be posting here any progress I do, until I add everything I want to add.

So what are the buttons?
In the custom HUD is represented by the initials of the button.
Example: TS = Tossflag, FN = Firenormal, J = Jump.

In the Unleashed HUD is represented by my own button setting, based on how is controlled Modern Sonic in that game and my other mods.

Example: RT = Firenormal, LT = Fire, X = Custom 1, RB = Custom 3, LB = Tossflag.

However, this can be easily changed on Slade, if you want.

You have 8 random buttons, just like in the original game.

Fully 3D and functional ramps, and you can customize how far they're going to send you.

I don't know if I should add another method of adding the ramps, instead of just letting them like they are (mobj's). At least you don't have to modify the level itself with this mobj's ramps.

But what do you guys think?

i’d rather have them be mobjs so you can use objectplace to goof around with them

Now I added jump ramps, since they were very easy to add.

They will send you with the speed and height that you chose, in a .lua (I don't know if you can change the variables with objectplace or when creating a map).

And if you're boosting they'll send slightly higher than before.

Please, ignore all that numbers and stuff.

I so excited for the final release

So, I've been doing a lot of bugfixing and things for the mod in this days and everything seems to be working fine.

It's getting more bigger...
and more difficult to work in this...

Oh, and I added Jump selectors.

So far I got almost all the logic done, but I don't have animations, so I can't show properly how it works at the moment.

Basically, they work like in Sonic Unleashed/Colors. And you can customize how far they'll send you to some place or to the next jump selector.

I'll work on the next object before working on the animations and stuff.

Sonic unleashed recreation is going to be real

Hey, it's been a while since I posted something here.

Sorry for taking so long for this...

I added reaction plates.

You don't have to set an angle for them, since they'll match the angle for the wall they're touching.

You can set an angle on where they're going to send you and how hard they'll thrust you in a .lua (again, I don't know if you can change that with objectplace or when creating a map)

Also, you can set which type of panel you want.
You can place one with a random button, like in the video, or one with a predefined button.

Now I'll start working on animations, bugfixing and other stuff...

Is this going to be compatible with srb2 gens once that comes out and this mod comes out?
Also please make a video on how to manual drift

1. I really don't know. This plates doesn't even appear in Sonic Gens to begin with, and I didn't talk with the creator to add them. Someone will probably add them when that mod came out.

2. I'm working on it. I want to release that video with a new version of my physics mod.

just make the new version a separate video
