Momentum+ Mighty/Trip Bounce Fix

I was actually planning on doing this sooner, but SRB2 has been updating on and off and I wasn't sure the mod still worked properly. It's at the top of the list.
Everything works fine on my end. The acceleration feels good, the speedcap is pretty much perfect, the new abilities are fun... my only real gripe is that the air physics take a while to get used to, but that's a me problem.

  • Added support for Trip.
  • Reworked the way momentum works using ApplyMomentum by ThatCartridgeGuy (https://mb.srb2.org/addons/apply-momentum.7741/) as a base. Instead of changing the player's friction, momentum now changes the player's normalspeed up to a max of 120*FRACUNIT (which also applies to Max Spin Dash Speed and Max Air Action Speed). Wait, I just tested it myself and her momentum works fine. Are you trying to load both NewMomentum and NoMomentum at the same time?

I haven't tested any other characters so far, but I have seen that Trip's Wall Climbing doesn't work after using the addon, probably a bug! just came to point that out. (I'm using NewMomentum btw)

hmm... idk what caused it then. I loaded the right momentum, I'm sure

OK, I have no clue what the hell is going on, because I've tried both the Wall Climbing and Surge's momentum and both still work. I'll try reuploading it to see if anything's different on your end.
 
I'm the problem! I'm so sorry, i had an outdated version of Trip, I haven't used her character in a while and assumed it was attributed to the momentum file, my bad!
 
This mod is incredible but dang... I wish I could still use flight as super sonic :dramahog:
You know what? You just made me realize that I should add Flight to everyone (who can't do something else with Spin) when Super.

Actually, on second thought, I'll just apply it to Super Sonic and Metal Sonic since the animations for the other characters look weird. I'll have to think of something else for the others.

Non-Tails Flight Rework Patch

  • Moved Metal Sonic's Jet Flight to the Spin button, replacing his Shield Abilities. For now, I've given him the Acrobat Thok just like Sonic, but I'm open to suggestions.
  • Gave Super Sonic the ability to fly similarly to Metal Sonic's Jet Flight.
  • Fixed a minor speed miscalculation in NoMomentum when Rolling with Metal Sonic's Dash Mode.

Air Momentum Rework

  • Metal Sonic now gains speed when Flying during Dash Mode, instead of only while on the ground.
  • Tails and Knuckles now gradually gain speed while Flying/Gliding if their vertical momentum is less than 0 (AKA when falling). This is done to make them closer to Metal Sonic in terms of speed gain, while also remaining balanced by preventing speed gain while rising.
  • Fang's Bounce and Popgun now only halve vertical momentum when rising, meaning they can't be used to stall when...
