It's been months, and the mod isn't still updated, thought KGL is the new owner. What happened? If it's taking long, i understand.

I am very briefly re-emerging to say that, no, you cannot modify it anymore, the tag just wasn't removed with the permissions regarding the mod changed.

Also, KGL's priority is on the other projects he is on (including things such as Sonic Legends and Sonic 1: South Island Expedition), as well as attending university and his job, so in essence, this mod is, indeed, basically in hiatus until anything further is done.
SRB2 is far from the greatest priority of anyone, including myself (who's only here due to 2.2.14's release and has otherwise been entirely logged out of the MB due to no longer wishing to associate with this community at all (beyond the ONE person in the community I still have regular contact with, and, well, one other person who just also works on Sonic 1: South Island Expedition) for reasons I will not explain here), and whilst there are ideas for this mod, they're on the backburner completely and utterly.

In other words, wait, and please don't beg to have ownership transferred to you, the ownership transfers as is weren't because someone asked, but because they were trusted to take it when:
- I first left the community and started to shed obligations (transfer to SuperPhanto).
- SuperPhanto was banned (transfer to KGL).

It will be a while, but eventually, new content will come. Otherwise, that is all, folks. See y'all never.
