Master Server Rules

I've played tag in GFZ2 before, and I don't think that was against the rules.

I think it simply means, don't play coop in a match level, since you can't really do anything there. But you can shoot each other down in CEZ2 (In fact, CEZ2 does seem like a nice match level)

I really have to agree with Draykon there. Sometimes, playing Match in a Coop level is REALLY fun (another Zone that is for Coop that could be for match would be Jade Palace from Mystic Realm, but you'd need, like, 20 people there).
 
Wow. I've broken the rules without even knowing. Anyways, sorry about that I wont do it again. Now that I know the rules there.
 
A major suggestion; two Master Servers. One will be moderated (for more active and serious SRB2 players), and the other will allow hangout and all of that other crap. This way, anyone who actually wants to hangout, they can use the other Master Server, and the main one won't get cluttered with all of those idiotic RPs or Hangouts. This way, noobs wouldn't complain about being banned, because they could just use the other one for what they want.

It may be a bit over the edge, but with this noob problem growing, it feels like it would be a good choice.
 
The problem is, Segmint, nobody wants to host the n00b master server. SRB2 also doesn't include a particularly good way to switch master servers, other than opening up config.cfg.

The reason for no RPing, etc. is not only because they would annoy us, but also because they take up Logan's Bandwidth.

What are you, still on Demo 2? Check Server options.

Yeah, its just that advanced players keep thokking all the time trough the levels. Like, they add chaos zone, Mystic realm, and acid missile. Then they thok trough all the levels at quite fast speed. When they're done, they shut down the server.

I have to agree with you on this one. One time, I was in Techno Hill zone act 2, and as soon as I got the liquid shield, The level ended! I constantly have to tell people to slow down. Atleast let me get ONE emerald token! I mean, We all decide we're gonna collect the emeralds. And then some guy shows up and thok's through the level in a few seconds and we don't even get a chance to DO anything! Thats one of the most frustrating things that can happen on any server.
 
He means coop, Segmint.

But their really isn't any point to collecting the emeralds, unless you're going to the "MR Zone." And I'll allwase take my chances with knux.

It's..... "Inappropriate" Role-playing. that's as far as I'll say.
 
Ok.. we have a FALSELY ACCUSED banned player, Baby tails chao, their was me and him in a server he made, A guy came in and asks if its an rp of hang out or any other stuff.. Baby tails chao says no, the person leaves and comes back, next thing you know the server is full of noobs! all of them rping and stuff, as fast as they were banned, more noobs flooded in! they wouldent stop roleplaying, then the same person that asked earlyer and was in the server at the time said: AHA! I KNEW IT WAS A HANGOUT SERVER! IM REPORTING YOU!... so please unban him, he didnt do anything wrong!

Although it wasn't a PM, you were still bothering him, so I don't know what he'll do. It's his decision.
 
Anyone who breaks the rules in a server is automatically directed to the server host. If the people are roleplaying/hangouting, then it's the server host's fault, not the other people. (And yeah, Segmint is quite right.)

It wasnt the host's fault it was the freakin noobs fault
 
Don't talk to us about it. Also, it doesn't matter who's "fault" it was. You don't have a log of the netgame, thus, any story could be a lie.

If anyone is RPing/Hanging out/whatever against the rules, it's the host's responsibility to be rid of that player to ensure the safety of their own Master Server priveleges. If the server hesitiated to do that, it's his/her own problem.

I was at his server once... He WAS RPing in that chao garden level. There were like 4 people and they wouldn't be able to report him if they didn't have a log of what happened at the server. They musta had proof he was RPing.
