As an SRB2 expert, I'm here to give you some tips to get good at SRB2!

Spoiler: Tips for Sonic (Main Game)

Tips for Sonic:
Don't use the thok in tight platforming sections, you might overshoot your jump and fall into a pit and have to go back and try again.

When in the Fang boss fight, avoid using the thok too much, you might shoot yourself off the train in the second phase.

Make sure to play with Automatic Braking on. It will SERIOUSLY help when you get to Arid Canyon and beyond.

how to get better as tails: a thing jer didnt mention:

try not to abuse the flight in very high/or attempting to go to high places, it may help to go onto platforms below where you need to go, then go higher up, if thats not the case, flying up does leave you vulnerable so it may be risky too
