It seems you can die while in the level clear state if you ready up a teleport just before you enter the level clear state.


This was done in ACZ3 since you have enough time to pick the Teleporter and ready it as the capsule rises once the boss is defeated. With the correct timing you will enter the level clear state while being teleported and should it teleport you into a dangerous place... you'll die and then exit the level.

You will still lose a life as you normally would however should you have 1 life remaining... you will enter the next level with 0 lives remaining.

It seems unlikely to get -1 lives as you will be unable to clear regular levels if you were to finish them with 0 lives... although the moment you get an extra life after hitting the exit... the level will end as it normally would.

v1.2.1: Now Henry cancels his Gadget Box normally(old ShouldDamage hook made a lot of problems so its changed to MobjDamage), You can actually read Death Messages in SinglePlayer, you can use actionspd and revitem to change Henry`s flight time and Gun object and if you have less or 0 lives you will die instantly.

Oh, this is a great mod! I really can't comment more on it, it's just.. really awesome!

Henry is a very fun character to play as, he might run slow and can't spin but still pretty fun to use with the gadgets.
I wonder if it would be possible to make a script with only the Fail screen that works for any character you pick apart from Henry.
