Pyrakid Wolfo submitted a new resource:

Classic-Based Physics Changes - If you felt SRB2 was too floaty.

This addon aims to recreate the classic feel of the original Sonic the Hedgehog quadrilogy & Mania by increasing the gravity and jump height of the players.

Physics changes in detail:
- Increased gravity
- Increased jump height
- Roll Lock removed (Mania)
- Vertical Springs vertical launch increased
- Diagonal Springs vertical and horizontal launch increased

Pyrakid Wolfo updated Classic-Based Physics Changes with a new update entry:

Update 1.1

Update 1.1 Changelog:

-
CEZ Maces now send you faster and higher than they did in the previous version.

"Do the maces look like they should send you that high / fast from the speed that they're going at?"
No. But its not like they did before.

You should be able to reach areas you could have reached without the higher gravity more easily!

I don't know if you are aware of this but, This mod actually breaks adventure sonic's momentum trick (the move where sonic can keep is momentum going after gaining height from a ramp).

im gonna have to try this when i get home from a trip, this seems really good actually. kinda thing that makes me wish we had a trick spin standalone or smth

Okay i have to say i loved the physics overall but it could be less heavy. Like i jump less than half the height of normal srb2 the physics are good but the weight makes sonic and everyone else feel like concrete i tried to learn how to get along with this weight but its simply too much

Okay, I was wrong about there not being air acceleration, but I’m not seeing any air drag. I’m on a flat field; I charge a spindash all the way, and I jump when I hit the ground, and I lose no speed in the air. At first, I thought I was, but I realized that was just the ground speed cap because I wasn't timing the jumps well enough. So I got an add-on that lets you jump the frame you hit the ground if you hold jump, and I wasn’t losing any speed while airborne.

hi, it's me again!! lolol

air control is basically non-existent when moving in any direction that the camera isn't facing. this isn't an issue in automatic mode, though.
here's me jumping in the direction of the camera, and then towards the camera. i don't move at all while going towards the camera, and i think i even went backwards a little bit. all i have loaded is this addon, and momentum by clairebun.

i realized i was using a fork of srb2 in that gif (srb2 classic) so here's me with JUST this addon loaded, with my button presses visible so you know what i'm doing. now you can even see me moving backwards. i collected a ring behind me while moving in the opposite direction
