He already mentioned that he works with X-Momentum, but when he releases you need to add SA-Sonic after XMom or Sonuc will break. Not sure about BattleMod though.

Can't wait to see how the metallic shine will work, translating it to a sprite might be tricky, but I think it will turn out pretty well.
Also I love the pose, it has a very intense look with a calm posture, the only thing missing would be the slightly raised foot from SA1, but SA2 Sonic matches this pose more, the effects will look great for making the stance look more powerful.
From a spriting perspective, that means he'd have to do 3 more angles, so this makes the most sense. I'll do my best on a "Metallic" effect, don't get your hopes up TOO much, buuuut.....we'll see!

Holy shit. What music for super transformation will he have? Live and learn or open your heart?
Whichever theme isn't picked will get a music swap pk3 you can load in without disturbing netgames, so you'll be fine regardless!

That DOES give off a pretty good SADX vibe, actually. But if we can pull off that chrome look from SA1 and SA2.....oh boy!

XMom's supported with the condition you load it in BEFORE SA-Sonic. Otherwise it'll force you to go Super with bounce attacks. Battle-Mod, not as of the current beta, but updates ARE a thing even if Battlemod support doesn't make it to release. I did program in the SA2 multiplayer "Speed Up" move that's not actually being used for his moveset, for one.

Or, as the fourth way to say it, a Momentum Bounce...
Nah...the thok has fixed speed, and the bounce heavily drags your momentum down. Speedrunners called it the "Bounce Accel". It's a wonderful way to get to the ground quick since Adventure Sonic's very floaty.


The Spindash and Obscure SA1 Tech are currently tied in votes, with the Lightspeed Attack getting 1 vote, and finally the Lightdash+Ancient Light FX holding 0. Have some more GIFs to tie you over, and let's pray the Lightdash makes a comeback somehow.

I myself would be happy to test! I grew up playing the Adventure Games, as well as SRB2, so I've got plenty experience with taking advantage of the physics and looking for quirks and fun little oddities that could be used to make the gameplay experience more fun, or just those moments that make you go "Huh, well that's certainly something". I'd love to see what fun tricks and shortcuts that can become possible with the unique abilities that Adventure Sonic could bring - definitely would create some really fun speedruns!

I've been observing this project from the beginning, and I can really see this being one of the best Characters of all time, and getting the opportunity to get a hands-on preview of the character would definitely be a great honour, getting to see this character in action for myself.

My computer is a really beefy PC, the specs being:
CPU: 8x Intel Core i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00Ghz
Graphics: NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER
Unfortunately the internet at where I live is currently down, so I'm forced to live off Mobile Data on my computer for a while, which sometimes works well, and sometimes is slower than dial-up. I also live in the UK if that makes any difference.

I play with a controller, and not with a keyboard, so I feel like I'd feel in my element with playing Adventure Sonic.

That's basically my "Beta Testing Application" - whether I get chosen or not, I welcome it! Because at the end of the day, watching development of this character is a whole lot of fun in itself, and we're all contributing in our own way!

Looking good, I always liked how floaty sonic was, it's easy to correct yourself in the air, it complements the high speeds you'll reach as sonic and allows the player to still comfortably platform.

Hopefully it can work out, didn't know you need more sprite angles to pull it off, that's interesting, I assumed it would probably have have the same type of shading on Metal sonic, but that might look odd on sonic.
Don't push yourselves to hard on it, even the base colors on it looks really good!

We'll go in order of most to least votes! Also, for my amusement, try to guess what the obscure technique is! I'd like to see if literally anybody here actually knows about it.
Out of all of the techniques, I want to see the spindash first and the obscure technique as a close second.
 
Someone really needs to make an SA1 level pack (not really but it would be cool)

Yoooo, boy(ettes)s, calm down. For the most part, I already have in mind who I wanna bring into testing. But if you're all gonna apply, maybe towards the end of development I ought to do an experience check. But tell me more than just "I wanna test!".

Like.....do you have a good or bad PC? Good/Bad Internet? Europe/Americas/Australia/Etc Region? Played Adventure 1/2 before? Skilled at SRB2 or not? Experience with modding?

All are useful to testing for different reasons, so just be honest. So long as you're not that guy(ette) who just wants the mod early and rarely gives feedback/reports...


No, I mean....I've been refraining from jumping, spinning, showing Sonic's abilities, etc in all the GIFs so far. I've hardly been secretive about Super Sonic. Whom, btw, judging from Metalwario's custom model renders, I'm extremely hyped to see come to life.

Occasionally, SA-Sonic's intentionally deviates from the Adventure games. It's usually with little quirks like this. Sonic bounces upwards when hitting enemies with the bounce attack. Due to an unintended bug, he does so even from below, but it felt right and seemed like a fun mechanic, so we left it in, even though in SA2 you would've lost all momentum.

If it benefits the player and doesn't feel broken or wrong, we leave it in.

There's some cases where we took liberties for better controls. If you bounce/home onto a horizontal spring/booster/speed pad, it'll snap you into instant sprinting.

3. A god at sa1 and 2
4.pretty good at srb2 not god teir but with a remote yes
5. I'm learning about it currently ( that's why I've been gone so long )
6. I'm American ( planning on moving but RN I'm American)
( its gonna be rare if they even think about choosing me but I thought I would just try but again I doubt they will choose me)
