this is a small nitpick but the rings are all from 2.2 , all versions before 2.2 have other ring sprites that are not included in this mod :P

His criticisms are absolutely valid and are shared by a majority of people who've sat down and played DRRR.
It's actually embarrassing how bad Kart Krew's response to all the criticism is.
 
Glaber was not banned solely for criticism of Ring Racers or Kart Krew. He himself admits that, and a lot more people would have been banned if that were the case.

Please don't deviate from the topic of the thread any further.

I can confirm he was running tests on the Retro Rings so they only appear in Metal's Challenge, he will plan to add them on almost every map in future updates
 
Well that's a bummer. i hope someone takes over the mod if glaber's gone for good. it still feels like it's missing some things here and there.

At some point it's going to start clicking with more and more people that for all the criticizing you like to do of others and their actions, you're actually one of the people most prone to the kind of weird and embarrassing behavior you supposedly take a stand against.

I would actually prefer it starts clicking with you too, though. There's a saying "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?"

Not sure what me or my friends did that could possibly be more embarrassing than what you sent me on release day anyways:

The mod is open, which is why it is a surprise to me that there has not been more patches and additions submitted by the community considering the interest here. Period sprites for instance could potentially be done in Lua through checks to see which map is currently loaded, but there are a ton of maps, so I am not sure if there is a way to attach attributes to groups of maps to prevent having to use long if statements.

Just to get the thread back to something more relevant to the addon.
