Meta Knight

Meta Knight v1

Common misconception. Morpho Knight's design was a seperate planned knight for the cancelled Kirby GC game. The two knights have no relation to each other. What would make sense to me is if Meta Knight had no super form at all, but instead received the abilities he had in Meta Knightmare Ultra i.e. Meta Quick, Meta Heal, Knight Call and Mach Tornado upon collecting all of the Chaos Emeralds. But this largely feels unrealistic to me and has no real place in Meta Knight's moveset. So, I'd much rather propose that nothing of the sort is given to him at all. No transformation, no power ups, none of that. He doesn't need them, he's quite versatile in his base form already.
What about the powered up galaxia kirby uses in the amazing mirror?

As of the newest update. this mod has a few broken effects involving the cape overshadowing the actual sprites. (you cant see metas face at all when facing the camera and moving as the cape overlaps it.) this seems to be related to refresh rate as when using srb2s previous fps cap of 35 it ceases to be an issue.

That's not Galaxia, that's the Master sword. It has a different design from it and everything.

But... I do think that would be pretty cool
ok this quote was from feb 2023 but I DON'T CARE! just to say galaxia and master sword are the same, galaxia is actually master sword actual name.

As a Kirby nerd myself, I have to agree. Meta Knight doesn't really change swords (One exception at the top of my head is when you take Galaxia from him in Forgotten Land's first Arena, where he pulls out a sword resembling one from Kirby's Adventure NES to replace it), and as far as I'm aware, "Master" is just the ability's name when Kirby uses Galaxia.
The design difference is probably solely because the GBA (and NDS) sprites are small and aren't made to have that much detail-- it's easier to animate when simplified, but that changed with more detailed sprites (Galaxia's bossfight in Kirby Quest, a minigame for Kirby Mass Attack) or actual 3D models were involved (Super Smash Bros Brawl, Kirby's Return to Dreamland Wii onward).

There's also another problem with Meta Knight. His Mach Tornado doesn't gain height when gravity is flipped.
I've noticed this as well!
Suddenly I'm not sure if spoiling the surprise outside of the initial thread is allowed, so I'll put it in a spoiler just to ease my mind:
I tried experimenting to see what characters could feasibly complete Mindscape Zone without cheating, so I was playing Meta Knight to test him out. As it turns out, Mach Tornado kinda borks in flipped gravity. If it goes up too fast, the speed reverses immediately, which... Yeah, pretty sure that's not how it should work! 😅
Hopefully this can get fix eventually. Not that it's an urgent fix regardless, since Mindscape Zone is a very... Niche zone to try to complete, so to speak.

dind't expect a big explanation and also yeah it's his old sword he use in forgotten land fight, i remmber a video talking about that detail.

That's how I found out about it as well. Thankfully he can beat the level regardless.
