i suggest he should at least be parallel to classic knuckles is some ways, like making the main ability gliding while adding more dig and punch focused moves. Also you should probably try to bring the moveset to be just on jump and spin, like glide+spin drills down which you can cancel with a glide and making him a fang route character from there.

It'll be hard to stick to jump and spin only, so custom 1, 2, 3 will be used, the abilities will be simple enough though, so even if he uses lots of buttons, his move set is easy enough to understand. Sprites are the main focus for now, since my lua is garbo

I agree. His punch combo could be spin and air drill would be spin in midair
