Nope. It's just a generic Chao-inspired symbol. Seemed fitting, Chao did originate from the Adventure games.


I've been saying that to Metalwario again and again, dude still keeps finding room for improvement somehow.


Somersaulting's not in this one. Blueblur's DC-Sonic plans to have it, though! Also, don't be afraid of asking questions or seeming impatient, even if others try calling you out. Me and Metalwario both know that just means you're excited, and that's encouraging. This is no church. If your manners end up not being 100%, you're totally forgiven.

Here's a small feature for SA-Sonic. If you barely get clipped by a crusher, (with this GIF being about the maximum extend of it) , you'll bounce OUT of the crusher only taking damage rather than dying instantly. This is ESPECIALLY nice for those glitchy asshole crushers that would've killed you despite moving UPWARDS.

Get caught in the middle and you're still instantly dead, however.

Looks great, and it's nice to see more of his sprites in action, Bounce looks pretty good, I always loved the bounce in SA2 it felt weighty but the more you used it that further you could go with it, and because it was physics based attack you could just bounce off of slope and get some good distance, and this addon already looks like it has that weighty feel to it.
Also saw him snap to those rings pretty quickly so that must be the light speed dash in action, quick question does it work like exactly like modern sonic? Or does it have it's own quirks?
I forgot that sonic could survive getting crushed if he only hit the ends of it, that's a nice detail and already helps him stand apart, and the little sprite squish after it is great.
Another question are there gonna be anymore of those chao emotions sonic can do other then the amy one? They look great to by the way, I love the tiny details like that.

Definitely this. I love seeing people getting so excited for this project that I started, and it's what motivates me above all else, honestly (aside from the fact that it's something I wanted in the first place. :P)

Also, while life's been just busy and a bit stressful, I should be able to get some more spritework done pretty soon. I thought I'd be starting it up a couple of days ago, but the past couple of days were also super eventful. I should be able to start things back up throughout this week though, so I'm looking forward to that.

Nice to see you again. So about the profile picture, it looks nice, but i wanna know... is that a high poly SA2 model, or one of the modern models?
 
Can't wait to play as SA-Sonic and in the future (Hopefully) newly made stages that has SA1/2 vibes, And holy (:worry:) there is a proper jump and bounce animation unlike some that uses the same jump sprites when bouncing, Also i have questions;
1: Would the jump ball would change depending on Sonic's momentum like SA2?
2: What would be his pose for his "Waiting" idle animation?
3: Would his head move like pointy sonic? (._. no this is just an idea no need to code.)
4: What is your personal opinion on how the Addon currently is?

1: I think the jump ball already goes faster depending on your speed in the vanilla game, so I think that's already in his coding.
2: They already showed a waiting animation, but they I think they said it was kind of a placeholder.
3: Nah, even if they wanted to take that suggestion, they've already finished base sonic, and all the head turning they need are only slight.
4: Well the coding for him seems to have been done first, base sonic seems to be done, and no super sonic sprites have been shown yet, (although there were some abilities shown near the beginning of the thread) so I'd say 75% complete. That next 25% will be a long wait, about to the month October. (Jeez October looks like a weird word.) Did this help?

Wait to be clear, MetalWario can basically find lots of space for his sprites EVEN if it's already almost perfect?
 
Just so people don't go crazy thinking I'll take absolutely forever from now on (should be able to get a good amount done for a while), I'll show my revised A1 idle (which I posted the old one a bit earlier in the thread), since I had the pose wrong initially, and I modeled much better and more accurate to SA2 hands, which also means better sprite hands:
