If there ever was to be a model for this Sonic, I'd like to make ones based on the LoD models from SA2:
Don't know anything about making SRB2 models, but I could make it and toss it out there for someone else to implement, maybe.

Just a low poly model that's used when lots of stuff is on screen. In SA2's case, when the camera is zoomed out and in multiplayer.LoD means "Level of Details", but i don't know what they are either

Lod are the reason your favorite games are not exploding from Lag. Like Breath of the wild wouldn't run if Lod in the distant mountains didn't exist.

Yeah, Metal Sonic is indeed doing well. I think one of his best abilities is his Spin-drift.
