I came back to check on the mod, and THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking my "chase music continuation" into consideration when making the update, at least I think you did I never really check the forums all too much, but still- thank you so much, the mod just keeps getting better and better with each new update, thank you for all your hard work! <3
I can't wait to to see what the talented spriter has in store for the new 2011x sprites!

PEAK MOD 5/5

whenever I play srb2 I always have this mod enabled, playing with the other addons I have is so much fun to be honest with you.

honestly would make it more fun if there was an option so that 2011x spawns in rage mode instead of having to hit him once to activate it

i mean, i really dont know if you can deal it that way. i think you could attack X by grabbing him (like attacking a cheese) or adifficult tech. when i used modern sonic i realised i could not use homing attack or even the boost to him. so i saw a tech to attack him by spamming jump and stomp so you cac (luckly) attack him. i will try getting a way to attack him with the italian man and the noid

A neat detail would be Rage Mode actually preventing you from exiting the level until it expires much like how it does in OM. Obviously as a toggleable option- (perhaps disabled by default as I can see how it likely would break a lot of things-)

Once again bumping this spoopy hog to tell you all that there's a rage theme for Miku X! Hopefully it can be added next hotfix.

Welp. Here I am, making this account for this addon specifically.

I'm a bit... mixed when it comes to this addon.
On one hand, I can see that this could bring a challenge to the base game/modded maps and what-not...
But on the other it just brings annoyance/slight anger and rage dealing with the (literally) bloody hedgehog.

I honestly did try to play this game with both vanilla and modded characters, and even the base game and modded stages, but this mod proves on multiple occasions that it's just straight up unfair.
And I really do mean it when I say I've tried to play it in every way I can, even the two escape types are nearly impossible to get past, or way too punishing, with the button mashing type not even working, to the simon says type just killing you if you miss one button. And even if you somehow beat that small minigame, he just teleports in front of you and IMMEDIETLY charges yet again. And 9/10 you are most likely to die anyway.

That's another thing I noticed with 2011, there's seemingly nothing else he does other than just teleporting to you and then flying at you at mach 10, normally that wouldn't be a problem... if he wasn't flying at you at mach 10. Seriously, you can be the fastest character ever modded, and yet somehow you run into a hairpin turn and then proceed to get tickled violently by 2011 here. It was then that I realized that this mod seems to work best when it's taking place in wide-open spaces, like GFZ2 in SRB2 Generations. Because unfortunately the base game was NOT made for this mod. I don't even want to know what it's like in the final zones of the base game.

The next thing is the spawn time, because good lord is this guy impatient. Every single time I booted up this mod and played a level, it either took him a few seconds after the level loads in, or the MOMENT you even get a glance at the level. I'm talking near instantaneous. And before I rant any further, I DID try to use the set spawn time thing, and he never comes around. So that is pretty much useless, meaning you HAVE to use the "random/instant" spawn for him. At least that's how it was for me, i don't know if anyone else had that issue with him...

Yet another thing I realized with 2011 is that you have to be nearly FLAWLESS with your gameplay, especially with him being a one trick pony and constantly flying at you rarely giving you any time to just breathe. You accidentally run into an enemy? Grab. Accidentally hit a wall? Grab. Miss a spring required to progress a level forcing you to go back- Grab. It just seems to be way too punishing, with X's mechanics overall clashing with RB2's overall gameplay and mechanics. I rarely- RARELY got past GFZ in the base game without eating dirt because of this guy.

I know this comment is sounding a lot more negative than anticipated, and believe me I want to like this mod, but it feels like it's made for people with a completely different skillset than others.

Which brings me to this; my personal opinions on how to make this mod better/more playable/balanced/whatever you want to call it

*Some kind of difficulty/balancing update

Just to get the elephant in the room out the way. I know how one would feel about a difficulty setting for a mod like this, but I feel like it really needs it. Because unfortunately, people don't have near perfect skillsets in order for them to play with this mod. Or even so much as changing/adding settings to X's grabbing mechanic. Like when he reaches you, he only knocks a few rings out of you until he gets you down to 0 rings or even adding a setting that changes his flight speed from slowest to what we have now. And if people choose the easier settings over the very difficult settings? That's ok. Let 'em play the easier difficulties.

*Adding other abilities/cooldowns to abilities

Giving X more abilities may sound like a bad idea, but it could at the very least give some more variety than what we have. Maybe he could teleport in front of you and chase you, (NORMALY, not using his charge.) or he can do something like God's trickery in outcome memories, since this mod is based off that. And once he uses an ability, he'll be forced to run on the ground and try to swing at you normally, (or depending if you're at an elevated height he'll just, float over to you at a normal speed.) giving you time to either get some distance or try to stun him and get some EXTRA distance. maybe a little hud can be plastered on the screen to show what abilities he has on cooldown so you're not suddenly getting jumped by him. Yes. I feel like he does need cooldowns to his abilities to make this fairer to the player.

Uh... yeah I think that's it.

Good mod, even though it makes me want to chuck my pc through a window.

Again, I see the challenge, but it needs some kind of balancing update. :dramahog:

that's what im talking about:threat:
Summoning the Classic X theme for a hotfix 😔🙏

First of all, no need to be rude.

Second of all, just because it's a Sonic game, doesn't mean people need to have good reaction time. Mine isn't the best and I still do well.

I personally think it's a good suggestion, and I might benefit. I haven't played the mod, but that's because it looks so daunting. I feel like it could help.

then again systematically humans can only react in a span of 0.2 seconds in their peak, and at their lowest will be 5 seconds, if the player has 3 seconds to do 4 inputs they would need a higher level of a reaction time, compared to regular sonic games giving you leeway which in return gives you better muscle memory, 2011x doesn't and due to how high stakes the grab is, would cause the player to studder and therefore mess up more, combined with the randomized inputs it would mean the player would need approximately a reaction time of 0.5 seconds at most to survive 2011x's grab to process the input needed, find the button on the controller, and press it, with input delay. With all of this being stated, the average Sonic fan not having a reaction time that is so high would be around below average to average. Causing this complaint to be reasonable.

Except for the fact that there's literally a option that lets you change the setting to a older version that's been around ever since the updated input was added.

i dont check the console that much ok

I'm enjoying this mod! Great challenge for even a moderately experienced player IMO; if you need something to keep you on your toes in an otherwise normal playthrough, this works fantastic in that regard!

I do however ask for one small adjustment; raise the QTE's position on the HUD a little higher. It's incredibly difficult to read in Marathon Mode presently, and it's gotten me killed a lot.

Although, I suppose even in a normal mode playthrough, I wouldn't fare much better at this time, but I am getting practice in breaking these grabs nonetheless! Better to not get grabbed in the first place, of course, but that's not always possible.

Alternatively, I'd like assistance on how to do it myself, since I'm not a modder and don't know how to do that. I worry I will break something by trying.

Oh yeah, what's the best way to, y'know, not get grabbed?

I'm seeing a lot of videos on YouTube of people stunning him by rolling, but apparently that's not a very consistent method anymore. I saw in a patch note that X apparently has i-frames after he's been stunned, but it didn't seem to work reliably even when I haven't stunned him before. Maybe things are working perfectly fine and I'm missing something important. What do I need to do? lol
