X Sonic

X Sonic v1.1c

Even when i got it i usually lost it in one of the forced ringburst areas with the diabolical firing totems and also my rings most of the time which basically meant resetting from he beginning or else i wouldn't have enough rings to use the ring burst more than once just incase i misfired it. Also, something i didn't point out in the original comment was that you're forced to do a no damage run if you don't search for a bubble shield since the large gaps are pretty much impossible to get over without a transformation or the ring burst, and even with the shield they're still a pain in the ass due to the fact you can't jump while zip-dashing underwater, so most of the time you're searching for rings and trying not to bounce on walls during the ring burst and being redirected to the start, meanwhile trying not to drown while crawling as fast as possible to the nearest air bubble every chance you have.

TL:DR totem laser hard make me lose shield, great gap hard, move slow, drown fast and ring hunt.
Cant you snapdive off of the bullets they shoot?

Okay, sure.

Sorry, but this absolutely the case where I can agree with anime accuracy. He'd tear the stage up without them. He already kind of can with Ring Burst if you manage your Rings properly!
Not to mention, and this is purely my own opinion here, I like having to change my approach when it comes to water levels. Makes for a fun challenge.

If you're having trouble with Azure Temple, I recommend taking the left path at the beginning. There's plenty of rings there for Ring Burst. You can get up to 50 almost immediately if you pick up the two ring boxes in the first room.
I also recommend taking the upper path afterwards. The route without the diagonal fire. Good luck!

you mean no ring burst?
Okay, sure!

I feel like we're detracting from the original point now, being X Sonic's underwater movement. If you're willingly not using the tools at your disposal, then of course it's not gonna feel great to play. With Ring Burst it can be understandable due to lack of rings, but even then you have other options to get through or out of water.
Regardless, If we're eliminating both Bubble Shield and Ring Burst usage from Azure Temple, then yeah it's going to be near impossible, but at that point, it's more on the fault of the player for not utilizing all of X Sonic's moves, and not the underwater nerfs.
If we eliminate just Ring Burst, however, then yeah the stage is clearable. Really the main hurdle here is the split paths at the beginning before the first checkpoint. If you pick up the Bubble Shield by kicking the gargoyles at the beginning, you should be fine. After the first checkpoint you can ditch both of those and still complete the level. Even on the upper or lower path. You'll struggle if you do this sure, but again, it's on you if you do that.

Want an additional tip?
You're invincible to a lot of things when using Ring Burst, and this includes the projectiles the gargoyles shoot.
You can also Snap Dive off the gargoyles. Not so much their projectiles though.
Azure Temple mostly comes down to learning the projectile cycles, where they shoot and in what pattern. If you're having trouble, don't be afraid to just stop for a second and learn when to go. You can't always brute force this. Snap Dive can also keep you close to the ground if you're worried about being hit by the upper projectiles.

Not to sound super rude or anything, but to be completely honest it genuinely seems like your getting desperate at this point. I think Canestrelli has made their point (which I agree with) and has validly proven it, all of these seems like arbitrary handicaps that would be completely on you and not the mod's (expect that first one)

It's starting to seem like we are getting at a "agree to disagree, the creators will make their own decisions" point of this conversation, so I think it may be best to either evolve the discussion some other way or leave it and move on and start something else. could we agree to that?

Thanks for proving my point! :wonderful:
They're a "ProfessionalHater". They're not here to have a real discussion with you. Annoying, I know

In any case, I can fully respect the mod devs wanting to keep the character anime accurate. Hate it all you want, but it's ultimately their mod, made with their vision, that they've put out here for free. You're not paying them a dime for the sake of your own satisfaction.

No, that doesn't mean it's immune to criticism, for the record, but that doesn't mean they're obliged to listen either

Ok dude, your experience with Sonic X on ATZ probably gave you PTSD. Sonic X underwater sucks, happy now? Because we can't keep going further more about it, let's move on.
